  It was our first time in Shanghai and staying here in Four Seasons was really good. The staff were attentive during breakfast and afternoon tea service. We were at the Executive lounge for afternoon tea and they topped up our drinks continuously, which is always a good thing. The food was great. Breakfast was really good at the restaurant on the ground floor. The front desk offered help finding us taxis and maps to take for travelling around the city. The interiors were amazing, modern concept. Loved that we had a telly in the bathroom and the view from the bathroom of the city is jaw-dropping.

  Great hotel, very good breakfast, nice little bar in back and best infinitive pool in the city. Situated close to Bund and also Underground Market is only two subway stations away. The nightclubs are situated across The Bund.

• I keep going back to FS Pudong because...

  I just stayed at this property for the second time and will definitely be back.
  
  This is why:
  FS Pudong is a fantastic property in every respect. Top notch operation with consistently great service (every single staff interaction was excellent). The hotel has made fantastic service and offerings a natural and seamless part of the guest experience. With hotels, the things that don’t stick out are often the most important. While most luxury properties will fulfill your needs when requested to, FS Pudong anticipates them; things are there without having to ask. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.
  
  I would like to list a some outstanding elements:
  - Hotel provides free parking.
  - The view from the "Pearl View Deluxe Room" are simply breathtaking, day and night.
  - Hotel provides VPN which is transformative for a foreign guest’s stay in China. Given the location of the hotel it is a game-changer for a person to stay connected. The free Wi-Fi is also very strong.
  - Hotel features a truly unique pool. Nowhere else in the world you will find an elevated indoor pool with that kind of view. It is a signature and “stand-out” asset of the hotel. Also, besides having a special view, the pool is very well maintained and attended.
  - Spring-themed Afternoon Tea. Many luxury hotels offer an upscale afternoon tea, but they are all similar in layout and look. FS Pudong’s tea hour is distinct and appealing. The overall aesthetics are very inviting and the food/teas delicious.
  - Great dining options. We had Italian through in-room dining and as Italians we felt at home (high quality food). The Chinese restaurant was superb, delicious food and very thoughtful/attentive service.

• Amazing views!

  Amazing views and generic nice room. Spacious. A little on the pricey side considering breakfast is not included. Quite far from the airport 900rmb pick up service is a rip off! Get a taxi for 150! Impersonal, clean, professional. All in all a comfortable stay.

• Would I recommend this hotel?

  My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons in Florence in May and had the most wonderful time so I really did expect that the Four Seasons in Shanghai, Pudong would not be able to match this. Wrong! We had a fantastic time. We stayed in the club level and the staff were brilliant - thoughtful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they took genuine interest in making sure your stay with them was everything it should be. We celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst at the hotel and again the staff went that extra mile to make sure we celebrated in style. A handwritten card, signed by all staff in the club level was a lovely, personal touch.
  As mentioned, we stayed in the club level - definitely worth it. A car was available to take us to local destinations. We never had to wait more than five minutes for it. Location of the hotel as a result was ideal - access to the bustle but in a quieter, more pleasant location. My only disappointment was that we could not stay longer.
  We have been loyal customers of the Ritz Carlton chain but I think they have lost our custom to the Four Seasons.
