  Wonderful service and fantastic event team, wonderful breakfast , excellent dinner with a view!
  Room was spacious and comfortable , although a little noisy from next door ....

• pricy, but unparalleled views

  First, my complaints.
  
  The TV is awful. This is a luxury hotel, and yet the TV is powered by some noise-filled analogue signal. Some stations just have a random frozen image. Watching the World Cup on this TV was a pain.
  
  The WiFi is awful. You can barely get audio-only VoIP conversations. Video conferencing is futile. Uploading your pictures take an eternity.
  
  But those problems pale in comparison to the unparalleled view of Shanghai, the spacious room, and the gorgeous bath.
  
  I could seriously spend an entire day gazing down at the city below and the boats on the river, watching the city change as the sun moves across the sky. The rooms are just a few floors below the observation deck atop the SWFC, which towers over the rest of Shanghai.
  
  The room is feels relaxing with the dark wood floors and panels, generous space, and high ceilings. All the closets and other storage space lets you hide your travel stuffs so you can keep your room looking as nice as when you stepped into it.
  
  The bath, which actually reminds me of Japanese baths, has a deep soaker tub along with a rain shower and handheld shower and is as spacious as the room and even more gorgeous.
  
  If you need some food, there's of course the hotel restaurant, but I suggest you go down to the retail area at the base of the tower with various restaurants and shops. One place to not miss is the food court on floor B2 for the people working in the tower. It gets pretty crowded in the mornings and lunch time, so I suggest going before or after lunch time. It has various small food shops with very reasonable prices, and you could say they have the everyday food that the locals eat. My favorite was the fried dumpling place.
  
  Location next to the IFC mall and the subway station and a short walk away from the ferry landing makes this a convenient place to explore Shanghai as well.

• A place to stay

  The place is an excellent choice to go with. Rooms are very spacious. Staff are very courteous and they take good care of you going above and beyond. For a vegan like me, I was impressed to find good eating options, which made my stay delightful.

  Nice hotel in good location although the rooms are starting to look old. Nice pool, very small gym. Wifi was horrible throughout the stay for myself and the other people I was traveling with, that's a problem and reason I probably wouldn't return.
