a second home

como | Sep 20, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessHow can I describe the feeling of perfection that this hotel is able to provide? There is MO and outside the world . Located on the river, this amazing structure do offer in terms of service one of the highest ever experienced, staying at the Club (that I strongly recommend and a special thanks to Cherry, Jaden and Shyyu) is a great experience and worth the extra money they charge, How relaxing it is t step into it after a busy day in this burstling city. How nice is to jog along the river banks in Harbour City , how comfortable are the room that in my case was a suite to die for.
It shows some sign of the times but as a charming lady you do not pay too much attention to it. I love MO Shanghai, try it and you will undertstand why.

Waterloo, Canada | Sep 19, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe had a enjoyable stay! Very beautiful room with nice view of Huangpu river. The hotel has 24 hours swimming pool! Our kids were spent a lot time there!
Choose the Club Lounge Room if possible because there more less people than the breakfast venue downstairs. Also you can have afternoon tea and dinner for free. But the staffs were looks very busy when we checked in so we have to wait a side table quite a long time.
Concierge service was great, the gentleman outside offered us the shuttle service which was very thoughtful. -
Not entirely up to standard

Hong Kong, Hong Kong | Sep 18, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessAm reviewing this from the perspective of a business traveler.
The MO brand carries a lot of weight and so expectations were high. At first blush the hotel looked promising given the nice decor in both and lobby and rooms. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully designed.
However, there are a number of areas that require improvement, especially if the hotel is to be truly 5* and worthy of carrying the MO brand.
- Check-in was slow. From lining up until being given a key was nearly 20 minutes. Once at the desk the check-in process itself wasn’t efficient. Also, the front desk staff were tolerated and/or were oblivious to people pushing-in (cutting the line).
- Internet was deathly slow, so much so that it was useless for even reading email. Ended up having to tether to my mobile.
- Staff are not always attentive, and often distracted by their smartphones. That would never happen at the Mandarin in Hong Kong.
- Food quality — both room service and restaurant — is definitely not 5* quality and very expensive.
I’ve stayed at many other MOs. The standard is generally quite high. The MO Pudong is a stand-out for the wrong reasons. -

Sep 16, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelThe hotel’s view is good
The room is spacious and clean
The reception is trying to do a good job, and they are friendly, however, I think there’s room for improvement. The doorman can also be trained to do better
Thanks to the manager for the spa voucher, highly appreciate.
