WIFI does not work, it shows there is a strong connection, but you can never make your device to connect to it.
However, there is lan connection available. A reviewer said that wifi in the lobby is better - no it is not. I was able to connect to the wifi, but the speed was horrendously bad.
For an international brand hotel, this is simply unjustifiable.
The area, on the otherhand, is great. a short walk to the pubs, to japanese, german restaurants, plenty of bakery and coffee shops and a short walk to the metro.
If you can, try to avoid this place and find a different hotel in the area.

Have stayed here three times, It meets a need, rooms are clean there is never any issue with the rooms, there is a kitchenette (I never use) Lobby and rooms have free Wi-Fi, stronger in the lobby. There is a breakfast buffet at an additional charge. Good location. Starbucks next store, A wide variety of everything within walking distance from shopping to dining.... about 35-50 min ($30-$35 USD) taxi ride to pudong airport (depending on traffic)

Average for mainly everything, I liked the lobby design. Obvious cleanness issues, specially for the toilet.
The pool as well as the health center generally for public use, so you have to use the pool while swimming training is going on.

I was staying in this hotel for two nights on my business trip to shanghai. This was my 15th Hotel in Shanghai which i have tried, and now i kinda know the city pretty well (downtown at least).
The location is good and the metro station is just 10 minutes walk from the hotel room. The area hosts restraunt like Subway, KFC, Pizza outlet and a complete Mall having options for Pizza and various other Non-Veg oriented outlets.
The Hotel has decent buffet breakfast, but if it is not coupled with the room price, (paying CNY 138 per person is not a big time worth it option).
The Internet in the rooms is very poor, and the bathrooms are also average bathing experience.
The hotel restraunt does not have a room strive, but they can deliver you ice / cutlery if called for so.
I might not stay at this one again.

I will not complain here about the outdated interior that is literally hanging by threads, bad service, dead slow WIFI with bad reception, or terrible noise level you will have in your room. I can live with that. What is absolutely unacceptable is the following.
Booked this hotel through booking.com. When I arrived the basically non-english speaking staff at the front desk told me the booked rate was surplus to a 15% service charge. For room service or whatever that's OK. for a hotel rate- just a rip off.
For a western hotel the beds are extremely hard. Even for Chinese standards. I could feel the springs through the mattress.
Top all that off with the fact that I literally just killed a cockroach with one of the hotel slippers in the bathroom.
Don't get me wrong- I've been all around China in different sorts of hotels. But for a western hotel in Shanghai this is just really really really bad.
