  We had an absolutely amazing stay at Waldorf in Shanghai. Our room and the design was beautifully decorated with all accommodations you can expect. We couldn’t ask for more. The view of our room overlooked the river and the skyline of the city buildings being simply fascinating at nights. The location of Waldorf is probably the best in Shanghai. Most attractions like Yuyuan Gardens can be reached by walking distance, the Bund is right infront of the entrance and there are many restaurants around. The breakfast in the hotel could have more variety and the staff could pay more attention but still we had been overall satisfied.
  
  The Front Desk in general is very friendly. The Concierge staff is very attentive and especially Michael is very helpful, giving us all directions we needed and helping us out getting caps. A special shout out goes to Sandra, who showed us around the hotel and made our stay even more unforgettable. My husband and me were always looking for her when passing by the lobby, hoping to find her to have a chat. She has such a gracious and patient personality, understanding all our needs and giving us many suggestions for sights, shopping and food. A true asset for Waldorf, making us looking forward to stay once again.
  
  Besides the great staff and the service, the Long Bar is a nice place to relax in the evening and the architecture of the Heritage building is exquisite.
  
  If you plan to stay anywhere on the Bund, Waldorf is the right place to be.

• Above and Beyond Great Service

  Where do I begin? Astra was my personal concierge and she made me feel at home with her kind demeanor and sincere concern for me to have the best possible experience while staying there. I actually ended up getting sick on my trip and called down to the front desk to ask for a thermometer to be sent up - she caught wind and called to check on me later, asking if I would like some fresh ginger tea and congee sent up to my room! I had never had either before and they ended up making me feel so much better, I ordered it every day for the remainder of my trip (about 6 more days)! The care and attention to detail was outstanding. The breakfast is a bit pricey, but the buffet is worth it if you can afford it with quality food - you can find something you like and the chefs were very attentive. The rooms were all marble and gold - the true lap of luxury. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel and the outstanding service Astra and the rest of the team provided me. I highly recommend this hotel for business travel. P.s. they have showers, bathtubs and budets, in case you had any concerns about in-room relaxation.

• Best Waldorf Experience

  We are regular Waldorf patrons around the world and had the pleasure of recently staying at the Shanghai Waldorf. We stayed in the historic building which was a destination in its own right. The staff could not have been more pleasant, from the front desk manager to the restaurant manager, going out of their way to provide service beyond the call of duty. The hotel itself is magnificent with many options for meals or a drink, and its location on the Bund equally so. We would enjoy returning.

  Shanghai has always be my favorite city for many years. This is my first time stay in Waldorf astoria. Definitely is top notch and stunning hotel.nice location on the bund. whats makes so special is the services, every staff did excellent jobs. Miranda from personal concierge was really help my trip get more meaningful by provideing some recommendations. Really makes feel like your home here.
