  The room was just awesome. I had the change to have a free upgrade from standard room to a magnificent suite. The reception staff is great, but the Chinese restaurant is a disaster.
  The hotel is though nicely located in the hart of the French quarter in a quite street.

  Thumbs up for the size of room and the amenities in the room ranging from the kitchenette to the hifi and surround system. The office table even had a printer! The bed was very large but too soft, and made my back feel uncomfortably curved. I was checked into a room that had a faulty TV and DVD in the bedroom. This was fixed and so was the DVD fixed. The TV in the bathroom did not work. Staff explanation was that the hotel had seen a good 8 years so the TV in the bath was no longer working...! What a lame excuse. The design of the floors was lovely with aquaria next to the room doors! That was a first for sure. The restaurant had a dismal dinner selection. However the view from the rooftop terrace was great. As the hotel is very well located near Huaihai Road and Xintiandi- you will be spoilt for choice of what to eat, shop and drink! There's super French restaurant just around the corner from Pudi Hotel. Highly recommended. I advise that you get the room rate with no breakfast and enjoy your breakfast somewhere in Xintiandi- for instance at Element Fresh!

  lovely hotel, had my room changed as the air con was broken on my floor. room smelt a bit damp as though there had been a leak but went away after living in the room for a day. The most comfortable bed i have ever slept in!!! short walk to shopping areas with some american restaurants underneath as the hotel on wasn't open!!!

  The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. From the nearest underground station you may have to use the overpass over a big street which is not super comfy with all luggage. We recommend to arrive by taxi.
  The hotel is pretty stylish and the rooms are spacious. However, we (3 pax) have booked a family room and were given a standard two bed room. This was a bit unpleasant as the were not able to give us what we have booked. Most of the staff is pretty helpful and writes instructions in Chinese for the Taxidrivers. However, one of the front desk ladies obviously is in the wrong job. Prefers playing on her mobile instead of communicating with waiting guests and on top has an attitude.

  Oh my God we LOVED our deluxe room! Massive comfy bed and pillows, a chaise lounge sectioned off, lovely lighting, TV/bar dividing the bed from the desk, mini kitchen, huge long bathroom with spa bath, 2 sinks, bath robes, lounging around robes/kimonos, monsoon shower, gorgeously decorated with attention to detail - I don't know if all the rooms are like this but we didn't want to leave, great location for all the stuff we love to do in Shanghai, and the staff on reception were super helpful - called airline for our lost luggage and booked our taxis etc. Will definitely be booking here from now on!
