Simply hotel

Prague, Czech Republic | Jul 24, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe stay there for 4 days. Normal hotel, clean room. We had a budget room without window. Hotel is not far away from subway. Hotel is simply but worth for price. Restaurants, shops and banks are nearby.

Good Value for Adventurous Traveller.
Jessica M
May 19, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesMy boyfriend and I stayed here for two days and it was perfect for what we needed but it could use some updating. Also, this isn't central or "touristy" Shanghai, so it does require some knowledge of the metro lines (easy) and a willingness to be in a very non-English area. I personally really enjoyed it-staff was friendly and the breakfast was AMAZING!!

Excellent value!

Toronto, Canada | Mar 17, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesMy wife and I stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and found it to provide excellent value.
The hotel staff were always helpful and when we were in need of extra hangers...blanket...etc they were very prompt in delivering the items. The breakfast was filling. Overall, I have no difficulty in recommending the Asset Hotel! -
Don't book here
Travellinck
Darwin, Australia | May 31, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThe reception area is ok but no where to sit and no one to help with bags. The reception gives the impression that this is a nice boutique hotel. But don't be fooled. The rooms do not match this impression.
We checked-in, grabbed the key, took the lift to the 3rd floor and strangely the room was open.
We stayed in a non-smoking room. The room was damp and musty, and smelt bad. The building appears to have water-damage. The walls are paper thin - you can hear everything your neighbours say, even a small cough. I couldn't sleep due the noisy family next door. You will also be kept awake/ woke up by noise directly outside the building.
Paint on the walls is peeling, there are cracks in the walls. It looks like the exterior wall has water damage. Room is not sealed properly from the outside - they have cut a hole in the wall for the air conditioning pipe and it's not sealed, the wall is cracked there as well. This is not a healthy place. The fridge didn't work and the area around the fridge smelt bad/musty. The mustiness of the place really affected my sinus.
The furniture in the room is decent enough, and it's good that they provide kettle, flat screen tv, water, side tables and lamps. The blind was flimsy and torn. There is more evidence of water damage and black mould under the window.
I went to the bathroom after arriving in room and noticed that one of the face towels/flannels had small black hairs all over one side - it was like someone had wiped it over their face, head or other area - I'm not sure - and I am guessing the cleaners didn't replace it after the previous guest?! I put the flannel on the floor and didn't tell anyone as I didn't want my partner to know (and get upset/grossed out). The towels are grey-tinged white. There is mould in the bathroom, they don't seem to clean under the tap and there is black mould around the top of the sink.
There was a large soap mark on the shower glass from the previous guest. The glass hadn't been cleaned.
Only one person can use the wifi at a time. The staff didn't tell us this - I found out from reading tripadvisor reviews. The internet works some of the time but it's pretty flakey.
Breakfast was included. I didn't eat anything at breakfast. The only thing that looked okay was the bread and the coffee. The spreads consisted of knives in open jars... there was sugar with wet spoons inside. There were a few Chinese options. At the end of breakfast we were ushered out of the breakfast area, to another seating area in the hotel.
I really regret booking this hotel. I just can't look past the terrible room. There are better options in this price range - don't be fooled by the photos on the internet - if you are on a budget then book one of the budget chain hotels instead. -
Book online
John230
Jan 24, 2026 | Trip type: Solo travelGuys to make a long story short try to book online cause the hotel charges more when they see that your not chinese at least 20 - 30 dollars more and make sure when your booking it online that it dossent say for chinese only cause that will cause you problems in the reception and they will ask for more money wich shows complete racism , the hotel is located 4 km from the center 10 minute ride on a taxi for about 4 dollars wich is fine , the rooms are nice and clean .
