Great Service

Singapore, Singapore | Oct 22, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessArrived at the hotel and they were fully booked. Was upgraded to a complimentary junior suite. Very spacious and a proper desk. Great business facilities and location for business meetings. WiFi however is not very stable and that’s the only downside

Great location close to shops and MRT
SOONSW
NSW | Oct 3, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesHotel is right behind the Nanjing shopping street, plenty of shops, restaurants, and only 2 mins from MRT exit. I believe it has recently been renovated, our room is very spacious and nicely serviced.
Breakfast is slightly towards the expensive side for what it is, but it has a decent ‘western’ varieties.
All in all great experience and would definitely consider staying again. -
Great location, upmarket hotel

Norwich, United Kingdom | Sep 27, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesStayed four nights: location is excellent; 100m to East Nanjing Metro (exit 4), 1Km west of Bund, 100m from Nanjing Shopping street. Lots of eating options - but WARNING - theres a highly recommended Sichuan restaurant on the corner of the hotel block and Exit 4 to Metro. Its on the 5th floor. On the 4th floor - but in the same door - is a horrid restaurant which seems to be in a hotel ballroom. DO NOT confuse the two - we did! Dont let the man in the lobby take you to the 4th floor!
Rooms are well appointed, large clean. Comfy bed, quiet air con. Wifi excellent throughout hotel (dont understand why other reviewers had problems). Automatic piano in lobby is actually quite funny - its worse than a real pianist! Large opulent lobby which we didnt use other than for access. Breakfast is served here but didnt have many customers - not surprised at RMB180! Reception pushed breakfast too hard.
Concierge service quick to get taxis etc. -
Great hotel, very convenient

Newcastle | Sep 18, 2025I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Grand Central Hotel, Shanghai. The hotel is very conveniently situated a few metres from Nanjing Road. The foyer is quite impressive and when we entered our room it was so big and well set out that we went back down to reception to ask them if we had been upgraded. The hotel is located very close to Nanjing Road and yet it is away from the hustle and bustle. All customer service staff were very helpful and I would stay here again.

Great location

Solihull | Sep 15, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesGreat location with renin park and metro stops in easy reach. Nearby shopping area is also popular so good if you like the big brands.
Room very comfortable. Bathroom was excellent and felt well looked after.
Good range of options at breakfast, but you do have to ask them to cook omelettes for longer and tend to serve things raw.
All staff friendly. Reception was helpful at changing money to smaller notes.
Did not like the need to wear a swim cap in pool. No hot tub.
