  My family and I stayed at Sunrise on the Bund for 2 nights and it was great. Room was small but very clean and modern. Bathroom was huge and nice and overall service was excellent! My sisters and I went to the spa and it was very nice and relaxing. We traveled throughout China and this was the best hotel by far.

  The hotel is nice, very big luxuous bedroom and an amazing view on Pudong. It really worths the price. The quality of the service is great. They also have a nice swimming pool and spa.
  I was just a little bit disapointed with the breakfast and the food, it's not very tasty and quite expensive. The speed of the Wifi was not really good either, i recommend to go outside for it.
  It's not really on the bund but very close by walk (around 20min) through Dong Da Ming Road. There is a very nice french coffee shop and a german bar on the way.

  My partner and I stayed here from 10th September 2015- 14th September 2015. We stayed in a double room on the 9th floor. We were very lucky as we managed to get view of the skyline from our room which was magical. The room was extremely clean and lovely. The bathroom was amazing, the bath looked out onto the skyline, the shower was great and the toilet was heated! What more could you want?The staff were fine here, although we had to leave a 3000 yuan deposit on a credit card when checking in which we were not told about and weren't happy about. Luckily it was refunded soon after we checked out the hotel. Also, the indoor swimming pool laws for Shanghai require you to wear swimming caps for indoor pools. The hotel charges 40 yuan per swimming cap or you can't go into the spa. The hotel is easy to find if you do your research prior to the trip as it is a 5 minute walk from Tilanquioao Subway which allowed us to get around shanghai easily. I would also recommend buying tourist 3 day subway pass for 45 Yuan (£4.50) which is amazing value and you can keep the ticket when you're finished using it which is a great keepsake. Overall a lovely, relaxing stay and Shanghai is an easy city to fall in love with.

  Prices of drinks expensive but no more than you would expect from this calibre hotel.
  So convenient for all local amenities.

  We stayed for two nights. Arriving very late the first night, we went straight to our room only to find it was a smoking room - we did not specify at check-in the the staff did not ask. While I am sure the very helpful staff would have swapped us to another room had we asked, we were just too tired. We put up with it for both nights.
  The room itself was a good size, very clean and with a good size bathroom. The bed was hard - as is usually the case in Asian hotels. We are in the habit of bringing a half-size overlay, which allowed us a good night's sleep.
  Breakfast was excellent. Good range of Asian and Western food.
  WiFi had good signal strength, but was slow. As our first trip to China, we were unaware of the blocks placed on net access by the Govt. this may have accounted for some of what we thought of as slowness, but sites that were accessible were still slow to respond.
  While it may not be strictly 'on the Bund', it is only a short walk away. The side-benefit is that it is quiet.
  Overall, we were happy with our short stay and would have no problem returning.
