  During my stay in this hotel, I enjoyed the hotel's facilities such as restaurants, Bar, Business center, Massage and others. Breakfast includes with the room. have the most French Food and Sweets. Very nice view to Oriental Pearl Tower.

• Go Club Level and you will not regret

  We just returned from a two day stay at Sofitel Hyland Shanghai prior to a cruise. Our reservation was for the club level because we always found the extra cost is rewarded in priority service and a hospitality suite that's open most of the day. Our expectations were fully delivered and we enjoyed the Club Level breakfast service and the afternoon cocktails. The staff was always present, courteous and extremely obliging to special requests. The room was spacious and there were several English speaking channels available on the TV which helped us check the news and the temperature.
  
  The Hotel is situated right at the foot of the main pedestrian street and a 4-minute walk to the HOP-ON HOP-OFF bus. It is also a short stroll to the Bund river walk.
  
  I am sure, there are many other good places to stay in Shanghai but this Hotel would be my choice again and again on my future returns.

• Poor indoor air quality

  The air conditioner and fan seemed not functioning well in our room, it feels like bad air was trapped for months and very dusty. We reported to the stuff in the receiption after we both got sick and my sinusitis relapsed.
  
  Would suggested them to repair the fan system and clean the air conditioner regularly..I am not sure if I would come back to this hotel again...

• 24hr Shanghai Layover

  24hr layover via Shanghai there were many hotels to chose from. Some closer to the airport..but with only 1 night to spare, why not go all out. 45 minutes from Pudong airport..right in the middle of The Bund, the Sofitel did not disappoint. Check in was a breeze. With Spa onsite, after our 16hr flight we totally enjoyed our massages. We booked the business room on the 25th floor with great views, free breakfast buffet and late check out 4pm! The food at the Mosaic was really good and I usually hate buffets. Steps out the front door is shopping on Nanjing Rd East. Best last minute decision we ever made

  I have thayed there 3 times and each time its like a home away fomr home, with someone to make me meals, The hotel is a bit pricey for what amenities are in the room. Access to the Lounge on my last trip made it more enjoyable.
