• A beautiful hotel !!

  We stayed in this hotel in May 2017. The hotel is superb, impossible to find any flaws. Even if there are small things, that are simply overshadowed by the amazing hospitality shown by the staff. The breakfast is simply superb, lavish in fact. Excellent location, straight on the beach.
  The hotel only arranged the tour guide and vehicle for us.
  Overall a great experience, i would definitely recommend everybody to stay there.

  The communication was not fluid, reception people doesn’t speak english very well. Breakfast buffet good quantity and variety, the other restaurant overpriced and bad quality. Swimming pool dirty. Spa closed. Rooms not bad. No more beach services. Overall the price is too high for the services they offer.

  Yalong Bay has beautiful beaches with very blue water. Huayu is more Chinese than Western, so most staff do not speak English, but there is usually someone around who can help. There are several beautiful pools at this resort, some with basketball or volley ball nets as well in the pool. There is a small outdoor type shopping area connect to the resort with a Starbucks, several Chinese food restaurants, a burger king and various touristy shops. The beach is across the street and from the looks of it, it is cleaned regularly. We also stayed in Sanya at the Four Points, which has a beautiful view, but the water is much prettier in Yalong Bay. We would stay here again.

  The breakfast buffet provided a wide variety of foods that would appeal to many tastes (native and foreign). We looked forward to it every day. If you have kids, they won't ever be bored because there were so many activities to keep them occupied. The pools were great, very relaxing and it was great that there was more than one pool available for use. They were never crowded. Lots of things to do, like the shopping area and restaurants with good food. The staff was super friendly and mostly helpful, considering the language barrier. Especially Steve who was so patient and helpful with any questions we had.
  
  Unfortunately, there was a significant lack of proactive thought when it came to providing information about the resort. For example, upon check-in we did not receive a map or a list of available activities and how much they cost (especially for rainy days) or restaurants in the area. Also, the tram cars that take you around the resort were nice but it would have been nice if they had a general schedule for how often they came around. One time, we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a tram to come around so we could go to dinner. It is important to note that some activities provided by the hotel are not included in the price of the hotel, which would have to been nice to know ahead of time (for example, mahjong and bicycles).
  
  Last but not least, the resort itself was beautiful and offered amazing views of nature and very safe and secure. We would definitely stay here again.

• Gorgeous room, average food

  We were instantly wowed by our incredible room, that had been upgraded for free. With views over the pool, a nice lounge seating area, balcony, enormous bed and beautiful bathroom we felt impressed after our long journey. The service at the hotel was generally good, sometimes felt like we were following advice that wasn't necessarily accurate but the staff were polite and mostly efficient. We had a great experience at the hotel spa, taking advantage of a seasonal deal they had on a Balinese massage - it was fantastic, the spa staff offered great service. The pool areas are good and clean, with a good availability of sunbeds, however often we found there were no towels and we would have to wait. We did order room service on two occasions and thought the food was delicious, so we then decided to try the buffet lunch. We found this was more aimed at the Russian guests, and would not eat there again. Overall we had a good stay at the hotel, but would perhaps think of staying in a different resort as we personally found that Yalong Bay didn't offer enough alternatives to the hotel food.
