  If you want to stay near airport for a night or two, this is the one for you. Hotel located within minutes drive from airport, and free transport available from hotel to airport at fixed timings. However, be prepared that there is really nothing much to do near and around this hotel. Room is fine but the toilet is very small. Bed is not the soft type. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Gentle reminder, do not pre book breakfast over the counter during check in if you are not sure whether you can wake up in time for an early morning flight. The hotel expect you to pay even if you decides to skip breakfast at their restaurant. They will give you weird excuses like they already enter into record and not able to cancel etc etc!

  You can call up the hotel before arrival at Qingdao airport. They have a free shuttle service. Closest budget hotel near the airport. I reached very late check-in was around 12.30 am. They made sure my room was available.

  Our flight to Qingdao was delayed and we only arrived at 1:30 AM at the hotel. Very efficient and fast check in. The staff is friendly and they can speak good English. The hotel is a little dated and decor looks like a plush palace from the last century. And so does the room. But it is all very clean and has all the amenities one needs. Fast Wi-Fi Internet access and a small desk with even a LAN connection. The bathrooms are rather small but well equipped and functional. Breakfast is buffet style and offers a wide variety of Chinese dishes. Western breakfast is rather limited. The location of this hotel within 5 walking minutes from the airport is excellent. The ideal place to spend the night when traveling in or out of Qingdao. However, the hotel is located far out of town with no attractions or shopping facilities nearby.
  Don't compare this hotel to standards of Grand Mercure hotels in other places, it is less expensive and maybe not as modern but at a very convenient location.
  We will be happy to spend the night again at this hotel when leaving Qingdao in a few days and can only recommend this place as a first or last stop to Qingdao.

• For a one-nighter close to the airport it's ok!

  The location of the hotel is excellent if you're looking for a hotel close to the airport as you can easily walk there - depending on the luggage you're carrying, obviously. However, I'm not sure how far the hotel is located from the city center.
  Due to the time-frame of my stay, I neither had dinner or breakfast at the hotel. However, judging from the rest of the hotel, I'd assume the choices to be somewhat Western as well, but rather average.
  The hotel offers different kinds of massages and apparently there's a sauna as well as a gym. However, I didn't have the chance to try any of it. Appreciating a the possibility of using a nice fitness center or gym when travelling, I wonder if the one at this hotel would be any more than average at best. However, as stated, this is just an assumption.
  The rooms are okay - nothing exciting, but surely workable. The minibar has a nice selection and every room seem to be equipped with an iron and ironing board. There's a nice "workstation" and a TV with a fair selection of Western channels (e.g. CNN, HBO, Star Movies, ESPN and Discovery).
  If I ever need a hotel near the airport in Qingdao, I might search for other alternatives. However, it's likely that I'll come back. After all, the hotel isn't overpriced for sure!

  I stayed for 4 days at the Grand Mercure Qingdao hotel . staff who works as a receptionist can speak English quite well and also friendly . but other staff a bit difficult to communicate because I also do not speak mandarin .
  This hotel is located not far from the Aiport and has the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport and vice versa from the airport to the hotel every 15 minutes .
  Unfortunately the hotel is quite far from the shopping center or the city center .
  overall the hotel was quite comfortable .
