Room is very nice and clean, but everything is a bit old.
Managed to score a good deal with Agoda.
They accept foreigners, which is very important! -

The room was lovely and the location was absolutely perfect - right above the confluence of the rivers. But disappointingly, the cleanliness did not measure up to the original quality of the hotel.

It's conveniently located right next to Laoweitan, the "foreign" area of Ningbo. Most bars and restaurants are located here. Even though the hotel is a bit old, the room was clean and comfortable. Service, check in and out was quick and effortless. For ¥333 per night, I'll be back. The only downside was that the room smelled of smoke.

Value for money in a city like Ningbo is very good. I had a good night's sleep, quiet and comfortable enough. Please be careful if you have children, I was on a18th floor and the window opens. Breakfast was better than average, a little noisy with the locals, but nice wanton noodles and fresh fruit etc..

My room had a view of the rivers, very nice watching the boats. Easy walk to dining area where there are amny fine resturants and a few pubs. Great atmosphere. Sitting outsdie drinking a beer and watching the world go by.

The Golden Port Hotel (Ningbo Jingang Dajiudian) is an environmentally-friendly hotel located in the center of Ningbo, close to the Old Bund, the former foreign settlement that's now a popular dining and nightlife area, and Tianyi Square, Ningbo's central shopping area.
This Ningbo hotel features well-outfitted guestrooms overlooking the city skyline along the river. Each room comes with satellite TV, VOD digital system and free broadband Internet access.
On the 4th floor are three multifunctional dining halls and 15 private dining rooms, that together can seat up to 1, 200 guests. The sight-seeing dining hall on the 25th floor specializes in famous Qing Dynasty-era court dishes known as Tanjia cuisine.
Guests traveling on business can make good use of 11 conference rooms for business banquets or other social events, well-equipped with projectors, audio-visual and simultaneous interpretation systems. -
