We received very good service from the moment we checked in. Ningbo is my husband’s hometown but he hasn’t come back for more than 30 years and that was my first visit. We asked the Concierge for any sightseeing places, Daniel, a young man who was on duty at that time, really helpful and patiently explained to us where we should go as we are old people and do not want to go on very long car trips. I must say Daniel is a valuable employee to Shangri-la Hotel.
The room is very spacious and the view was beautiful especially at night. Very quiet at night as I wake up easily just a little sound.
Doormen were very helpful when calling for a taxi. -

Rooms and the overall experience have been fantastic at this hotel. If you are in Ningbo I suggest you stay here, except if you like a nice bar, as this hotel does not have that, only a bar in a restaurant which is not that nice, maybe a suggestion for the hotel to think about this.

I know you're not supposed to judge a hotel solely on its food but when you're traveling in a foreign country and you want to have a nice meal before you go out to your business meetings I think this is a great feature. Almost every day we were greeted by the head chef and he helped us pick out food and asked us a lot of questions about where we were from to make us feel at home. The room is great and clean the TV and Wi-Fi service were to be expected. I didn't order any room service so I can't speak on that but overall I would give this hotel a good rating.
I also really enjoyed the small selection of ice cream in the lobby available late nights.
