A Great Option in Nanjing
camjeffery
Beijing | Sep 16, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI have stayed here over many years - a great location - close to sights and shopping - there is a very smart newer shopping centre opposite. Near Fuzi Mao temple. Close to metro station. Good rooms and very clean. Staff are very friendly and breakfast and wifi etc are all very good. There is now a new Starbucks located in the lobby.

Surabaya | Sep 5, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessStaying here for the first time, the front office staff are friendly and fast, also understand English.
It is located right at the heart of Nanjing city. Breakfast are great however my room was old and need to be refurbished. I heard some rooms are renovated, so next time I will chose a better room. Hopefully. -
Mandarin Garden is mixed veggies

Cincinnati, Ohio | Jun 30, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyOverall a good hotel. It is in a great location close walking distance to historic sites. Rooms on some floors have been renovated, our sons room was newer and quite pleasant. However our 5th floor room was older, had some mold issues on the shower curtain, shower mat and toilet base. Beds are comfy and we were well rested overnight. External food selection was good and plentiful within walking distance.

We were on the higher floors, and room quality was equal to a quality U.S. hotel

Centerville, Ohio | Dec 31, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessIn Nanjing, the following tourist sites tell the stories of the city’s past and present: The Confucius Temple, Ming City Walls, Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum, Memorial Hall of Victims in Nanjing Massacre, and the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.
We liked the location of this hotel, and we had an excellent check-in experience.
We were on the higher floors, and room quality was equal to a quality U.S. hotel. Perhaps, I should indicate that all hotel bathrooms were U.S. standard. This is not the case at several of the Chinese cultural sites that we visited.
Given the business of a cultural exchange, we had little time in the Mandarin Garden Hotel, and experience no problems. The sleep quality was excellent. Of course we visited the five sites listed above.
The morning buffet is fine, and we enjoyed various U.S. and Chinese types of breakfast foods. Let’s observe that no one in our group was hungry following the Mandarin Garden Hotel breakfast.
We recommend this property and would return. -
Good location, although a bit pricey hotel.

Czech Republic | Jul 30, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI spent here just one night and could not try the hotel breakfast since I had to leave before 6am to catch my flight from Lukou airport. The hotel location is quite convenient with several local restaurants within walking distance. I tried one just across the street. My hotel room was very spacious, almost luxurious and could easily accommodate 2 people. The king size bed was comfy. The room had flat TV, free Internet and silent but efficient A/C. Bathroom was also of a decent size and clean. Only the price tag almost 700CNY/night seems to be a bit overpriced.
