The hotel is located in a very remote area if you are thinking of taking a walk to resturants and shopping.
There is a metro station about 20 minutes away.
The breakfast was average with poor coffee.
The dinner options was terrible.
The bar served Draft beer on bottles.
Ok for business, not for tourism.

I felt comfortable at the hotel. Good breakfast with variety choices. Staffs were so friendly. The room is quiet, clean, and big. The hotel is located in downtown which easy to catch a cab. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel is not located close to city center but close to business area so good for business visits to that area.

I spent a night at the Novotel Nanjing East on a recent business trip and was really pleased with the hotel. While it is a bit out of the way for those who are doing their business in the Gulou/Xinjekou part of the city, it's location makes it considerably more peaceful and relaxing than a central hotel might have been.
My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a particularly large bathroom and a great balcony area affording a view of the nearby park.
Of particular note were the facilities on site. The heated swimming pool is a rare treat in China, and there were also good gym facilities. Two restaurants on site served a variety of Asian and Western cuisines, and I was particularly impressed by the delicious Korean cuisine I had brought up to my room. Some of the best bibimbap I've had in China.
The hotel's staff were warm and helpful, and the entire experience was pleasant. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place for families or those whose business trip could use a little serenity.

Stayed Novotel Nanjing East Suning Galaxy for one night in late May 2015. Hotel is in central location in Nanjing. It is very close to Xin Jie Kou metro station exit 14 and you can take line 1 and then S1 to get to Lu Kou international airport. The room I stayed is not big according to the Chinese standard, but with modern deco. The bed is reasonably comfortable. The bathroom is of good size and has the option to have rain shower. Free bottle of water as well as free wifi offered. Breakfast buffet is not as good as Sofitel Nanjing, but is quite OK for asian guests as there are many choices. But it might be a different story for western customers. Staff are generally friendly. But the front desk staff did not offer me the welcome drink voucher despite of my gold accor status. Maybe next time I shall remind them my little perks. All in all, a nice hotel and it is good value for money. I will stay there again if travel to Nanjing.
