Water pressure in the shower was excellent so the hotel hit all my requirements for business travel. Breakfast was good, maybe not 5 star good but no real complaints. Service was very good all around - I was brought coffee at breakfast before I gathered my first plate at the buffet. Will stay here again when in Nanjing.

Wonderful Hotel to stay in!

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by General Manager Rob Spiekerman and his staff. Our room was located on the 58th floor. The room was spacious and we had a beautiful view over the Xuanwu Lake. The Hotel was very clean as well as the room. During our stay the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet selection was very various and ranged from Western to Asian. Service was quick and effective, a very pleasant dining experience. All in All, we were very impressed by Intercontinental Nanjing. Should we come back to Nanjing in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Nice hotel, in contrast to the SPA

Cologne, Germany | Jul 2, 2025I've spend some days here on a business travel. The accomodation was very comfortable with a very nice view over the lake ( I think it was a junior suite).
In total contrast to this is the old SPA / wellness area which is not operated by InterContinental: The sauna is very small and old, wood is partly broken and a small hole in the wall. The whirlpool in front of the Sauna was not working and the steamroom was also out of order. I didn't feel comfortable and wasn't able to relax at any time.
The lounge breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.
I'll be in Nanjing by end of the month for about 2,5weeks and I am going stay at the Shangri La, even though the distance to the city center is bigger. The wellness area is much better there.

Part of the massive Zifeng Tower, the seventh tallest building in the world, the InterContinental Nanjing (Nanjing Ludi Zhoujijiudian) is located just around the corner from the Metro Line 1 Gu Lou Station and is not far from the Nanjing Drum Tower. This Nanjing hotel also offers guests easy access to an airport and railway station.
Luxury rooms in the hotel look out over Nanjing from 49 to 71 floors up and offer flatscreen satellite TVs and Wi-Fi. Presidential Suites occupy the 80th to 81st floors.
Guests can dine at the 76th floor Summit Chinese Restaurant, the 78th floor Prime Restaurant, Bar & Lounge with its floor to ceiling glass wine cases, or drop into one of the hotel's other restaurants or cafés on the 45th or 47th floors. Views from the top two are some of the best in the city, while the views from the 82nd floor Greenland Club are more exclusive.
The hotel's business center, staffed from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., offers a number of services including mobile phone rental and secretarial services. The InterContinental also offers foreign currency exchange for those travelers coming from outside of China.
A fitness center is available for guests looking to stay in shape, while those who want to do so while cooling off can take a swim in the indoor or outdoor pool. A spa with nine different rooms, including VIP rooms and suites, provides guests a place to unwind after a day in Nanjing, one of China's "four furnaces." -
