  Well, it was worth the price - $50 USD per night. Room was fine, location next to Beishan Park was nice, but restaurants over-priced with very slow service and pool looked a little skanky so I skipped that. Guy in hotel store tried to charge us an extra 5 yuan for a package of Oreos by pulling off the price tag. Sad for him, there were two price tags and I had looked at the price in advance.

  Have stayed at the Holiday Inn twice before and have enjoyed the stays.
  On one occasion I requested a king size bed and was given two single beds, but they changed my room quickly and all was good. Room was good and quiet with a great view of the city and snow at that time of the year.
  Staff were good but did have some English problems with the staff who were on when checking in. When checking out had no problems.

• Massive hotel, decent rooms

  This is a rather large hotel, but has decent and modern rooms for a Holiday Inn. The location is good for the airport and city, though I only really stayed for a quick nap for one night. Breakfast has limited choices for Western tastes, but enough to offer if you are a bit more adventorous and do like to try dumplings etc. for breakfast.
  If I go back to Mudanjiang I would not hesitate to stay here again.

• Not your typical Holliday Inn

  Super large good looking building with large, clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed there with my wife on the way to Harbin Ice Festival. We were there in January so the weather was very cold, but inside the hotel and rooms was nice and warm. The lobby is spacious and has a nice bar area for drinks or tea. The staff was always attentive and used their English well enough to help us find the train station and get a cab. Breakfast is all you can eat buffet with Chinese, Korean,Steamed Buns , and some Western style items. All prepared by a large staff in the first floor kitchen. The hotel is not in a very central area although it is only a half mile to the center, but the area, while good as far as walking around, does not have many close shops or attractions.

  This is a very typical holiday inn hotel in China in outside appearance but surely the worst satisfaction I have experienced about Holiday Inn. When we checked in, though room looked typical 3 stars hotel but no phone inside the room were working, the room was smelly (cigarette), the water boiler inside was rusty, we requested to change the room, they did arrange but did not send any one to help us so we end up had to move our luggage ourselves. When we moved to the new room, the room still smelly and the water boiler inside was still rusty. Some room guests talking loudly with door opened. I did stay in many holiday Inn in China, but this, I will try to avoid in future.
