  I stayed in Pullman Lijiang with my 21-month-old toddler and husband and we had a fabulous time because this hotel was really kids-friendly. There was an indoor kids room with slides, small foosball, and many toys for him to play with. He loved going there every evening and refused to return the room.
  
  Our deluxe room had an amazing view of the Yulong Mountain. As we celebrated our anniversary there, they even prepared a nice fruit and dessert set for us, with roses on the bed. The cotbed for our toddler was perfect and he loved it too. I really like the open concept bathroom as it allowed me to look at my toddler while washing all the milk bottles. There are sliding doors to close off the bath tub and toilet for privacy as well.
  
  Our toddler also enjoyed the complimentary horse carriage ride from the hotel to Shuhe Village. You have to reserve it before hand, and it leaves every half an hour from 10am to 6pm. We could also rent the bicycles to cycle around the hotel.
  
  Everyone in the hotel was really friendly and helpful. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Tess and Johnny, who were very patient to meet all our needs as we fed our toddler in the restaurant. We would also like to thank Julia, who made us feel at home, at this amazing hotel. We will definitely be back again with our family and stay in the villa, which we heard has the biggest villa size in Lijiang.

• A Perfect Luxury Hotel—Pullman Lijiang

  To be frank, I had a stay with Pullman Lijiang this spring.If memory serves me well,they made some mistakes last time.But this time,they improved a lot in guest experience. Everything about this hotel is incredible. From the moment you check in or from the moment you arrive！Every single member of the Pullman staff treats their job as if it's an honor to be a part of a wonderful family. The standard of luxury is in no way compromised by the intimacy and warmth you'll experience here- it's only accentuated by it. The perfect service and facilities impressed me so much. I have to send best regards and the most sincere gratitude to all the outstanding staff in Pullman Lijiang. At the same time,I would gave my special thank to an admirable manger-Tina， whom paid attention to my whole trip during this stay. Thanks to Tina,she arranged the room and switched on the air conditioning/underfloor heating in advance.We felt so warm when we walk in the room while it was a little bit cold outside. It’s undeniable that Pullman Lijiang enhanced its performance in all respects ,delicious beverages,passionate service,warm concierge,everything is perfect-simply INCOMPARABLE！I was blown away, even the package of bottled water have print their own logo.Generally speaking,only the luxury category hotels have awareness and cost budgeting to show their logo on every corner. I really appreciate that the managers’ action and decision. Brand effect and recognition are reinforced unconsciously. A little change makes big difference. In Pullman Lijiang,there are no strangers here,only friends that haven’t met yet. Just for this stay,Pullman lijiang is the top one among the hotel in Lijiang.Even better than InterContinental,Aman,Banyan Tree and Grand Hyatt. I didn’t think I‘ll ever stay anywhere else in Lijiang even considering looking into the residence options here. It‘s THAT perfect！

• Beautiful Property With Some Management Issues

  I can see why the Pullman is Lijiang's top rated hotel. I'm only giving three stars, but truth is I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
  
  Grounds are unbelievable. Morning views of snow mountain stunning. For those views alone, the stuff of lifelong memories, you should consider staying there. Restaurant good and affordable.
  
  Having said all that, there were issues:
  
  - No drink/tea at check-in. They just seemed to forget.
  - They showed us to our room while it was still being made up. Made really bad impression.
  - Perhaps because she was rushing, housekeeper did not leave any soap or shampoo.
  - No hooks or rods to hang towels (except on shower/toilet door).
  - One front desk person said we could not take the bikes off the property. The next one said it was fine to do so. Honestly, why have mountain bikes if you can't even ride them over to Shuhe?
  - Front desk told us we would have to pay 30 RMB to enter Shuhe, but didn't mention it was only if entering in a tourist bus or carriage. If you walk over, there is no charge at any hour.
  - At check-in, front desk did not tell us about free shuttle service to places like Black Pools. We found out later in our stay.
  - The villas have beautiful hot tubs. However, those staying in the more affordable hotel rooms do not have access to a hot tub, pool or sauna - on a property that size, while staying in a $150 room? It would have really helped to have a place to unwind after a day or hiking or biking.
  - Both the rooms and grounds were, in certain places, not well enough lit. Shaving was an interesting ordeal - I literally had to feel where the stubble was. Also, I almost tripped over an unlit step - and my eyesight is quite good.
  
  In spite of the shortcomings, I would be delighted to return to this hotel. Still worth it! I only list my peeves in the hope Management will address them for future guests. We really had a great time. Of the employees, Tina is especially tops.

  After the change of my schedule, I had no reservation to return Lijiang and stay at this excellent hotel again. I am happy to meet those warmest staff and feel like to reunion with my best friends. Michael, Tina, Lisa, Selina, Emily, Regina, Van, Bella, Cecilia ( the front desk staff), Dylan and Jack. All of you lighted up my days in Lijiang and thanks for your greatest hospitalities. Please accept my deepest thanks.Certainly I will stay at your hotel again and again, also recommend to my friends as well. Michael & your team - WELL DONE!

• Great hotel in Lijiang

  Conveniently located, it is walking distance to Shuhe Old Town. Not too big, so even if busy, you don't see too many guests and feel relaxed. Good breakfast and also nice dining selection for dinner. Staff are friendly and always ready to help.
