Sugar Land, Texas | Nov 13, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI have recently stayed in Crowne Plaza Hefei for business. I arrived after 10pm. Check-in was efficient. I was given a big corner room on 32nd floor with a comfortable king bed. Bathroom was clean with all the amenities. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
The swimming pool was opened at 6am. It was a clean pool about 25m in length and wide enough for 4-5 people doing laps. Water temp was at balmy 29c. I was the only person in the pool.
One side of my room is facing a rail track with local passenger and freight trains passing frequently as late as 11:30pm and as early as 5am. Train noise was clearly audible on 32nd floor. If you are sensitive to noise, avoid rail track rooms xx11 to xx14. -

My room on floor 24 was gorgeous, with a high ceiling, big bathtub, giant shower, and most importantly a great bed. Breakfast was wonderful with western and Chinese offerings in the buffet.

Although it is a business hotel, the last time the internet was so slow that it was impossible to work from the hotel, either using wifi or even the cable connection. Internet quality is getting worse in each of my visits this year.
I think this point should be taken seriously under consideration. -

Very large bathroom, with good towels and powerful shower over a large bath. Bed very comfortable with god linens. Very nice lounge on upper floor, with free happy hour drinks from 6-7:30pm. Sports bar on ground floor is ok for drinks, but the food is AWFUL in there.
The massive breakfast room had a brilliant selection that would cater for all tastes.
I look forward to returning to this hotel. -
Excellent amenities but Wifi is subpar

Bathroom utilities are all excellent. Breakfast was better than some of the name brand hotels in Shanghai. The major problem I had was with wifi. I had to take a few meetings in my room in very early hours of the morning (US time) and was not able to get two way audio over WiFi, which tells me that the uplink is extremely slow. If wifi is improved, I would definitely give it five stars.
