Jul 10, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessHad 2 nights stay here ,the room was old school like a 3 star hotel.I don't really feel that I was in a Shangri-la hotel at all.My friend and I went for breakfast at the hotel restuarant, the foods were bad even the coffee taste really bad which I changed to have tea instead.I think this hotel is not up to a normal Shangri-la standard. We finally checked out and changed to stay in Sofitel for the rest of our stay.Sofitel is much better in term of the room.

We stayed in the old one, design of the room & bathroom is a bit dated but still very maintained and of good quality. Located right next to the river Soong Hua Jiang, great view from the room. A stroll by the riverside in the morning & evening is a must. Do get a may of Harbin from the hotel- informative & easy to read.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin | Jun 9, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis was the fourth hotel in last week’s visit to Singapore (Marriott), Shanghai (Renaissance), Dalian (Grand Hyatt) and then here in Harbin. If the four hotels this one ranks at the bottom. Don’t get me wrong...it’s a competent business hotel but it’s older, thus showing its age. It’s a very good price and well located too. Yet after staying at the three previous hotels this week, I just couldn’t rate it better than average.
