• Good Hotel, great location

  This hotel was clean and comfortable and given its location right at the railway station perfect for travelers like me that use the railway frequently. I can imagine when it was new this hotel was very beautiful and welcoming but the 2 rooms we had booked were tired and in need of maintenance. Housekeeping did a fine job and the front desk staff were courteous and helpful. All in all, if I come through Hangzhou on the rail again I will stay here.

• Clean and decent hotel for a transfer stay

  The room is clean with comfy bed. Just over the train station so very convenient for a transfer stay. No no if you are going to stay more than 1 night. The traffic was so noisy in the morning which wakes me up.
  There a 外婆家within the hotel, the food is nice and cheap. Must go. Guest in the hotel can even get a discount.

  Отель находится прямо на ж/д вокзале. Одноместный номер обошелся в 900 р. за ночь, так как рядом вокзал, с питанием нет проблем. Рядом автобусная остановка и станция метро. До озера 10 минут на автобусе 49 и 49К

• Dirty rooms, rude staff - avoid!

  Some hotels are all show up front. This is one of them. Situated above the railway station, the foyer is large and has an enourmous reception. And that is the end of the good points. The staff speak no English and are not helpful, often rude. The deposit for two nights was 100RMB. Our twin bedded room on the 9th floor smelt stale, so we switched on the air conditioner to try to clear it. It was soon evident thet the AC was not working, so I went back to reception to ask to get it working. The girl on duty was counting money and indicated that she could not understand me. I indicated that I wanted to speak to the manager, but she just waved me away and went back to the money counting.
  I googled the Chinese for "the AC is not working" on my laptop and took it all the way down to show her. She then phoned someone. When she had finished, she indicated that it was not hot and that the AC was switched off. Dismissed!
  The beds were very hard, hard by Chinese standards, the loo was filthy, no free water in the room and the tv did not work. The traffic noise and the blaring of horns from the station forecourt 9 floors down can be heard quite clearly and is a great alarm clock at 5am. I had enquired about the internet in the room and was told it was beside the bed. I found the lead, and on pulling it out from behind the bed, found that it stretched from the bedside cabinet across the room to the desk! And that only worked after I got them to replace the faulty cable!
  When it stopped working later, after I enquired if it would get mended they came and replaced the cable again and then said it was not working in the whole hotel. It never did work again!
  Perhaps you might use it as a one night stay close to the railway station, if you really like hard beds, dirty loo, dirty carpets, dirty walls and stale smell. I could not recommend it.

  Situated above the very, very busy Zhejiang Railway Station, looking out on an endless stream of traffic all blowing their horns which can easily be heard in the rooms as the double glazing is ineffective, this hotel has an impressive entrance hall, but that would be nearly all it has to recommend it. The rooms are scruffy and dirty, the beds are hard, the bedlinen tired. Although it says the hotel was built in 2000 the bathroom looks as though it has been there since the 60s. Many of the tiles around the bath are cracked, the grouting is filthy and the shower curtain is dirty. TV is old, no hairdryer or water is provided. This is a mean hotel that does not care about it's clients.
  The reception staff speak no English and make no attempt to help and are in fact, rude. We didn´t eat here so cannot comment on that. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly would not stay here again.
