wedding anniversary in a nice quite boutique hotel in Hangzhou
Ipsidixit
Apr 13, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThis hotel was a nice find outside the dense traffic and people around West Lake. Nice secluded property where you can launch from each do to walk the adjacent trails to the Dragon's Well or hop a cab to West Lake. The talking parrot was also fun to sit and watch/listen to as he welcomed everyone in Chinese. The restaurant was fine for breakfast and the selection was very good. The room was a good quality and we had a large balcony to sit out on that wrapped around to and overlook of the pool. I recommend a stay here if you would like to get out of the city and reside in a tranquil tea field.

A bit tired but lovely location
Sharon L
BRIGHTON ENGLAND | Jun 11, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesThis hotel really does seem to be aimed at the domestic market. Found very few English speaking staff, and we definitely seemed to be the only Westerners at breakfast. Offerings at breakfast were quite limited if you didn't want Chinese food and possibly some of the worst coffee I've ever tasted. Didn't fare much better for dinner, as vegetarians there seemed to be nothing on the menu managed to convey this to one of the waiters who ordered up a few dishes for us we were presented with noodles rice and cabbage. Surely we can't have been the only vegetarians who have ever stayed there?
Rooms were quite dark and in need of a bit if updating, first night we were put in a room in a corner right by the lift which was hot noisy and unpleasant. We asked for a room change and were moved to the other side of the hotel over looking the pool where workmen were to be found doing renovations to the bar and pool area.
Big disappointment the pool was empty and unusable, who renovates a pool when it's 30c and guests might like a swim to cool off? As the only one of five hotels we stayed at in China with an outdoor pool was very disappointed.
The shame of it all is I'm sure this hotel could be quite charming its location surrounded by tea plantations is lovely, very peaceful and was probably once quite modern but now needs some money spent on it. -
STill a fantastic place but not as good as before

Hong Kong | Apr 3, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis is about the 6th time I stayed here, the rooms are starting to be a bit worn down but still in pretty good condition.
Restaurant have changed the menu totally to now have one with totally non understandable English and most of the local dishes are gone, bad, I liked the old menu, hope it returns.
The breakfast is same as before and good, especially that you could make your own juice.
Did rent bicycle as usual, CNY20/h, Ok, but hope they learn how to service them properly...this time the front gear where badly adjusted.
All in all still the best place in Hangzhou for me -
A relaxing stay in nature and history

Leesburg, Virginia | Mar 20, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessA visit to Hangzhou cannot be complete without a stay at the Landison Longjing Resort.
Located in the countryside of Hangzhou West Lake surrounded by Green Tea plantations the Landison Resort is well equipped to address the needs of its guests. The hotel offers good quality services and convenient and comfortable accommodations. The hotel location will require taxi or an arranged vehicle for transportation to and from locations. If the visit is strictly for pleasure and limited to three to four days the car will not be necessary as there are good Chinese restaurants at walking distance to the hotel. The hotel is located in a village as such the roads are narrow and not well lighted at night. If considering walking after dusk a flash light is highly recommended. The hotel offer SPA experience and tea ceremonies. Considering the very special location for teas it is highly recommended to sample the large and exquisite selection available at the resort and in the surrounding areas.
The resort offers good breakfast with a good selection of Chinese/Western cuisine, and lunch and dinner of equally good quality. The experience of staying at the resort will certainly be one of relaxation and peacefulness away from the ever growing busy life of the cities. A worthier experience. -
