  Overall not a bad hotel - breakfast quite nice with fresh products and innovative presentation. Coffee is good.
  Wet areas and pool shared with Courtyard by Marriott - a bit messy and can be much improved. Nice rooms, nothing outstanding though.

• Amazing Stay!

  What a wonderful property! We stayed here at the end of a long business trip and what a refreshing experience. The staff were all so friendly and eager to help, from the doorman, to the desk, to the lounge. Our rooms were clean and spacious, as were the bathrooms. We were only there for one night, but were so sad to leave! The cocktail hour in the club lounge was such a nice way to wind down the day, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was incredible, too. The fresh squeezed juice was my favorite! We already have our next trip planned to Hangzhou and are looking forward to returning to this property. With it's proximity to the train station, why would you stay anywhere else?! Bonus, they have a huge pool that we didn't get to use last time!

  The level of service and attention to personal detail from the Executive Lounge manager Helios and staff surpasses most other Marriott properties.
  Annie is one of the staff who stands out as going above and beyond with attention to detail and always has a smile on her face no matter how long her day has been.
  I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Hangzhou for their travel needs!

• Pleasant stay but boring food

  I stayed for 5 nights attending several days workshop in the hotel's meeting room. The staffs were very polite and always greeted us in Chinese whenever we passed by the reception area. Check in had several hiccups. Some of my colleagues' cards were rejected due to machine error so they need to borrow the other colleague's card -- luckily the limit was sufficient. Check out was a breeze.
  We stayed at the Deluxe room. The room was comfortable and very spacious with the see-through bathroom, with a small TV near the bathtub. The room is facing the neighboring hotel (Courtyard) and one of my colleague's was facing a construction. Wifi coverage was very minimum at the entrance and bathroom area but sufficient at the bed area. The room slippers were very warm and comfortable. Bed was comfortable, however all pillows were smelly. I requested change of pillows, but I had hard time explaining the request to the housekeeping lady who picked up the call, until her supervisor/colleague took over. Even after being changed, it's still smelly. The shower cubicle sealing was leaking and created a puddle, which was very slippery on the marble floor. My colleague had the hot water constantly going on/off.
  At first, the food spread during breakfast looks good. However it's lacking in variety. There's one day we had all the breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the same restaurant and the food selection was mostly the same. We saw the same cakes served during lunch was also served during meeting break time. The food tastes good, however it's easy to get bored after several days stay. There are no drink station so you have to order your drinks.
  Overall, the hotel service was good and staff were attentive, although there were few things which can be improved for a high-end hotel like Marriott.

• Pleasant Experience with friendly staffs

  JW Marriot and Courtyard are located in the same place. Don't get confused, but you'll be fine as they share a same building.
  Breakfast is not cheap, but I liked breakfast very much. They provide fresh juices, variety of vegetables, continental breakfast, lots of bread plus Asian foods. Fitness Center operate 24 hours. It's clean and equipped with almost full training equipment.
  Just outside building toward left, you'll find a small local restaurant and find reasonable local Chinese food. You can select food by picture.
  Westlake is about 30 min walking distance, but you can take taxi less than 15 RMB :)
