Good place to say

singapore | Sep 25, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessGood side: Clean room, fair price, espresso machine in the room, nice lighting and comfortable sofa.
Bad side: Breakfast. (eventhough i like eastern food, not recommended if you are not chinese)
Smoking is permitted in the room surprisingly. There is an ashtray and some matches in the room, if you smoke. (never mind the detector) -
Not impressed.

Mar 10, 2025Location - 15 min from Wulin Square (metro stop), touted to be the next up and coming spot. It is probably more sensible for a tourist to stay near Hubin area which is ground zero for visiting West Lake and has a lot more activity and shops. The hotel has a KFC down the street. That's about it
Cleanliness - room was clean and neat, but this is a hotel that does not pay enough attention to the details. The marble ledge relief behind the front desk was covered with a visible thick later of dust. Not personally relevant as I only care abt the room, but this lack of attention to detail was similarly reflected in the room - the corners of the bathtub was not cleaned thoroughly. Something was also off with the filter system. I asked for a non-smoking room but had to endure the smell of stale smoke which I swear was coming through the vents. Even the pillows smelt faintly of cigarettes because of the stale air.
Service - poor. The staff are generally well mannered but desperately lacking in knowledge of West Lake for tourists. I asked about how to get to Impression of West Lake show by bus and was told there was no way to do so. I then enquired abt how long it would take to walk and was told 30-40 min. I decided to walk and it took me more than an hour and a half at pretty good speed. The next day I wanted to go to Lingyin Temple and asked abt the bus again. Again, I was told that cab was the only way. I eventually found my own way by bus which took only half an hr.
No reason to come back. Price was fair but at that price I think I can do better -
Large clean rooms but poor food offerings.

Perrine, Florida | Oct 30, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI recently stayed five nights for business and overall was very satisfied with the stay. The room was large and clean. In fact, it was cleaned every day whether I left the do not disturb sign on the door or not. The provided free bottled water daily and the mini bar prices were pretty good. It was also nice that the room had a small fridge. There was no bar soap in the bathroom only liquid body wash and shampoo which was a bother. At the same time, they provided robes and slippers which was a nice touch. Others have complained about the staff's lack of English. While I tried to speak with them in Chinese, I hear a few of the front desk people use simple English. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the breakfast offerings. While there was some decent variety, the quality of the Western and Chinese breakfasts was poor. While I am not surprised that the waffles and french toast were not quite up to standard, the poor quality Chinese food was disappointing. The hotel is well located to transportation and while not super convenient to the West Lake, was just about a 10 min cab ride away. They also had a fitness room which has seen better days but the equipment worked fine and that's really all you can ask for in a hotel at this level.

Don't bother - poor location, breakfast and security

Beijing, China | Oct 24, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI spent several days here on a business trip. At first glance the hotel seems modern and well appointed. Indeed, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water with excellent water pressure. In addition, there was free in-room wifi that was reasonably fast (for China).
However, there are some serious issues with the hotel and if I had it over again I would certainly stay elsewhere.
1) Security. The hotel's security is lacking. First, the key pad to get the elevator to the floor did not work. Anyone could hit a button and get anywhere in the hotel. Second, my room had neither a peep hole to look out the door nor working chain lock (the chain was missing a piece). Third, several nights under my door I received a postcard offering illegal escort services. This had to have been distributed by either a hotel employee (most likely) or otherwise someone going from room to room.
2) Breakfast. I concur with the other writers about the quality of the breakfast. It was horrible. And the breakfast items were identical each day of my stay. I don't mind either Western or Eastern breakfasts but this was amongst the worst in a 4-star hotel anywhere. From undrinkable coffee to a series of lukewarm, oily breakfast offerings this hotel was sorely lacking.
3) Location. The hotel is neither particularly close to the main tourist attractions nor is it in a vibrant area of town. Even if the food was good and the room was safe, the location is a big drawback for this property.
Would I stay there again? Absolutely not.
