WOW - top of the Line
C H L
Connecticut | Apr 14, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessWOW is all I can say. This facility is 5-star. Rooms are complete. You are not left yearning for anything. Separate tube complete with yellow rubber ducky and loofa mitt. Separate shower. Bed is ultra-comfortable and the setting in the forest. Clean Air and truly a nature location.

Nice room, convenient for conference
Amy B
Boston, Massachusetts | Nov 3, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI stayed at the Narada Resort while attending a conference on the property. You definitely can't beat the convenience of that!
My room was very comfortable in every way. It was clean and reasonably spacious. I liked the electric kettle in the room that let me brew my own tea.
The conference meals were provided by the hotel and were generally pretty good. The breakfast buffet offered an impressive number of options representing both local and foreign (Western) dishes; I found the local dishes better. On the last evening of the conference, the hotel hosted a banquet that was particularly nice, between the elegant decor and the delicious food.
Although I do not think this is usual in China, I went running outside my hotel and found the Narada in a convenient place to run from. It is about 1.5 miles away from West Lake, so I was able to run to that area which is quite beautiful to run and has paths away from the roads. If you are going to do this, I would recommend going in the morning before there are too many people out and about.
My major complaint about the hotel was that it was sometimes difficult to find someone who spoke English to communicate with. I feel bad saying that, as I believe in trying to use the local language if possible, but it did make it difficult for me at times to transact business in the hotel. Given that this is a conference center, I was surprised to have so much of a language barrier. -
Quiet and relaxing hotel
Isabel C
Shanghai, China | Jul 29, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe stayed in the hotel for one night before we did some sightseeing in Hangzhou. The reason we chose this hotel was because it has quite a nice location with a pretty lake and it is no huge hotel complex. Furthermore, we wanted to have a hotel with an outdoor pool.
When we arrived, the staff was really friendly and the overall atmosphere in the entrance hall was very welcoming. During the Check-In procedure some problems occurred because the language skills of the employees are unfortunately very poor. It took some time to get a room but in the end it worked. The room itself was very clean, had enough space and was equipped with nice furniture. Then we went to the pool (took us some time to find it because the resort is quite big and the staff could not really explain the way properly). The pool was really nice; it was not crowded and clean. We really enjoyed the afternoon lying at the pool and taking a swim. In the evening we decided to have dinner in the hotel because it would have taken too long to drive somewhere else. The variety in the western style restaurant is very poor and if you are a vegetarian you can choose between a salad and a pizza. The service was friendly but very slow (even though we were the only guests). The breakfast on the next day was very good; it offered a wide range of chinese and western style dishes. All in all, the stay was good and relaxing but the staff should work on their language skills and it is a 40 minutes drive from Hangzhou (Railway Station to the hotel by taxi: around RMB 110) -
relaxing

Cairo, EG | Jul 29, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessNice place for a relaxing holiday. the bar closes at 12 and so do the lights.
Not all the staff speak English, security staff does not. check if your room's outdoor lights are working coz its really dark at night. -
Great place to relax
Julia M
Nice, France | Jul 10, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelI spend few nights in suite of this hotel and it is the place for relaxing, calm holiday. Room was very large, with nice balcony, overviewed the lake .. I had also spacious bathroom and living room. There is also gym, swiming pool and location around lake is perfect for walks. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, was very tasty, with variety of food. The staff was very nice, helpfull and the Reception manager was there to solve any problem, or wish. Not very overcrowded, so I had really calm vacation. Be aware that location is quiet far from Hangzhou.
