Best one yet!

Apr 23, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyStayed only one night as a part of a tour. Best lighting/outlet configuration! Best bed! Firm and doesn’t transfer movement. A/C was wonderful. Again, best so far. Breakfast was great, a solid mix of the familiar and the not so familiar.

Great stay!

Winnipeg, Canada | Mar 29, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe stayed here one night as part of our tour and this hotel was amazing. Beautiful, modern, clean, great customer service. We had a fantastic sleep and the breakfast was wonderful. We got in pretty late and didn't get a chance to get out and explore the area, and an early start to the day the next day, but I would have loved to have spent more time here! Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great address in Hangzhou

Auckland, New Zealand | Jan 3, 2026 | Trip type: BusinessWe stayed at The Dragon Hotel recently while on business in November for about 1 week. This was our first time in Hangzhou and The Dragon, and came away with very pleasant memories. There were no views of the Baoshi Mountains or West Lake from the hotel unfortunately.
Our room with its king bed was comfortable, technically well equipped and reasonably spacious. House keeping was pristine. The only frustrating part was that the internet connection kept dropping out.
This is one hotel where all its restaurants and eateries are consistently excellent, including the buffet. There are two that I would commend. The first is La Pedrera, a Spanish restaurant which we did not expect to find in He Dragon. The seafood paella was excellent and is at par as what you would classify a good paella in Spain. The second is XiXun Sha Yu a seafood restaurant tucked away at the end of a corridor of conference meeting rooms. There is a good range of choices on the menu but a real treat was arriving during the crab season in Hangzhou. Prices in both restaurants were reasonable and good value for money.
The location of the hotel seemed reasonably central to where we needed to go. In any case, it was around the corner from West Lake.
This is a good hotel and I would return to happily if on business.

Beautiful landscaped garden

Singapore | Dec 26, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesWe stayed in this hotel at the recommendation of a friend. It covers a huge area with 7 towers. At breakfast, we didnt see many people. But judging at the number of cars in the basement, this hotel is packed, perhaps with people here for conference. But you dont get a crowded feel.
You certainly need transport to stay here, either taxi or your own car. Doesnt look like there is any interesting sites within 10 min of walking. Next to Navada hotel.
If you are Chinese or like Chinese breakfast, then the breakfast spread is quite impressive with crispy youtiao, porridge, noodle wanton soup, pancake. Bread. But no yogurt or bacon. Ask to sit near the window to admire the beautiful landscaped gardens. Its Japanese style with manicured trees, bridges and stone. The buffet dinner at D'Cafe is very popular with locals and on a Wed night, its packed.
Good coffee, and you can get Starbucks across the road.
TV boasts good channels from CNA, Discovery, Bloomberg.
A better business hotel than if you are here as tourist as its quite a distance away from shopping belt or West Lake and needs a 10-15 min taxi ride.
Personally I like this hotel. -

Brantford, Canada | Dec 12, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessArrived here for one night. Rooms well appointed. Extremely quiet. Very clean. Woke up next day and while showering drains never drained. Spoke to housekeeping. Headed for breakfast and the test is the coffee. Bad. Rest was ok but notba 5 star breakfast by any means. On check out my card was declined......they needed a six digit code I have 4.....never in any China hotel had this issue.
So it gets a 4 star.
