I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • A Lovely Hotel with relaxing Mineral Baths
    SLynnS01
    Plantation, Florida | Oct 21, 2025

Sadly we only stayed here one night, I wish I booked 2 nights so we could have enjoyed all the amenities. Upon arrival late in the evening we put our bags down however the room was very damp, and had a strange smell. We immediately got into our swim suites so we could enjoy the mineral baths. It was quite a hike and the silage is not very good however finally we arrived. We could not find any towels. It was 11pm at night and they were open until midnight so there should have been some. Finally we found an attendant and he gave us towels. We picked our mineral bath and enjoyed every minute of it. Afterwards we checked out the room. It has a huge round bathtub after travelling almost 24 hours I decided I wanted to relax in the bath. It took forever to full, half way through I decided to get out and go to bed. The next morning we went for breakfast, we were told we had to sit outside however we just waited until a table opened up and then we sat down. It was like a zoo around the buffet. It may have been because the holiday was still on there however I could not believe the way the kids were acting in the buffet line. After breakfast we checked out and took the complimentary shuttle bus to the train station where we continued our journey onto Sanya.

  • Hotel Restaurants are all quite nice and the golf is beyond expectation but Caddies can be a mixed bag..............
    Keen J
    Haikou, China | Jun 7, 2025

Hotel Restaurant / Coffee Shop and Lobby Bar are all quite nice. I usually frequent the all-day restaurant for lunch after a early morning round of golf. I found the restaurants to be managed well. The morning breakfast Buffet is one of the best in Haikou. As well, the golf is GREAT but recently several of the Caddies have become less than attentive of late (BTW: I played MH-Haikou 54 times last year) and more concentrated on texting SMS messages and taking phone calls whilst out on the course serving customers. Let me say that I have had some wonderfully talented Caddies over this past year and too them I am truly grateful. With that said, recently I am witnessing a noticeable decline in the service levels out on the Course. I do hope that the Caddie Master takes notice of these comments as this is one GREAT golf destination and I would hate to see the good name of MH tainted by a few underperforming Caddies who should seek employment elsewhere.

  • A Balance Review: 5-star golf courses, 2-star services
    JacqJ8888
Hong Kong | Apr 8, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

This is our 4th visit to Mission Hills in Hai Kou. I will give you my balance review - 5 stars on courses, 3 or even 2 stars on services and other facilities.
5 star on courses: We have been to many golf resorts in Europe, Australia, and Asia. Courses here are by far my most favourite. They are beautifully designed, thanks to the natural volcanic landscape, meticulously maintained and absolutely immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 18-hole games on 4 different courses on 4 days. Lovely experience every time.
The overall services though I can not compliment.
    - We made reservations through its sales office. Every time we checked in, they could not find our records. The check-in desk is messy and staff not well trained.
    - The club house reception has, as everywhere in China, a few smiley staff, and a few rather rude faces with frowns.
    - Bistro is the large dinning hall, messy, with local Chinese guests coughing, sneezing, clearing throats thunderingly. I had to look around and covered my food. They talked at such an aggressive uproarious volume that one could easily mistake them as having flights.
    - At the Bistro and the Lobby lounge, horrible music were played, again loud and tasteless, effectively became unbearable noises. We had to go up and order room services.
    - Loud horrible music also played at the water world just next to the main resort building. No peace.
    - So so internet. Forget about accessing to Facebook, google and your daily news read, etc
But since we went there for golf, we will not dwell on unpleasantries and focus our thoughts on the golf courses :)

  • Absolutely Amazing Facilities and Service

Ive been to the Mission Hills resort on a short stay with my girlfriend. Reservation on telephone was smooth and easy. Checkin very comfortable all staff spoke adequate english whoch was greatly appreciated. The room on the 8th floor was very clean, good amenities, a well hidden but nicely stocked minibar and a very nice view over the pool and the golf course. The AC was noisy even on very low speed which made it using at night impossible so it was a little hot. Wifi was a little slow at times with only 0,5MB download. We came a little late for breakfast but we still received outstanding service from toby and cecily. Food was very good and definitly worth the 500rmb when compared to rate with out breakfast(788-1388). i would recommend to stay at least 2 nights to take advantage of the lavish hot springs area adjoint to the resort! I will come back for sure!

  • Great for golf and R & R

Hong Kong | Jan 26, 2026 | Trip type: Family

This is our 5th time here since its opening and I pretty much familiar with the standard. Service could be hit or miss (although the staffs do try hard), the room is quite good for Haikou standard. The Chinese restaurant is excellent. The Golf courses are great, the complex is beautiful. Certainly will come back again.
