  Booked this hotel through Ctrip due to good reviews and good price (only RMB299/night including breakfast and wifi).
  It's called Xinghe International Hotel (Guangzhou Station branch) on Ctrip. But when I reached the hotel I realized the name is actually Xinghe Xiangjiang Hotel.
  The rooms are new and clean. I booked a Deluxe room which is pretty spacious at 35sqm. The decor of the room looks like a 4 star hotel. The sink was leaking and it made the floor wet. Breakfast was pretty bad though. The spread, presentation and tastes were disappointing. So we ended up having KFC just next to the train station.
  The hotel is a 5 minutes walk to Guangzhou train station and metro. There are a few eateries along the way. It's also walking distance to the clothing wholesale markets like Baima, Yi Ma etc.
  Front desk staff assigned a wrong room to us but service recovery was fast. He sent someone up with key cards for another room pretty fast.
  I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay near the train station.

  Good hotel, convenient, very clean. However they need to invest in English lessons, it was really a struggle to request things from the hotel stuff. Will be staying at the hotel on my next trip . I hope their English has improved

  very convenient location. airport shuttle is just around the corner, 2 minutes walk. very close to the railway station and fast food establishments are just around the corner. mini grocery across it is pretty much complete. room was clean but very small. as expected, staff had difficulty in the english language but that's just the way it is in any part of china. they try their best, though, to accommodate any query or concern. will definitely stay here again in my future visits.

  The title says it all. I would definitely stay here again especially if I have businesses to do in this area. The hotel is newly renovated so most stuffs should look new and nice. We had a triple room and it was fantastic! The beds were firm and comforting, the water pressure was great, the room was kept clean, wifi access point in each room, good breakfast and great location!
  Location is spot on! Near major MTR lines, bus exchange, and railways to cities and other parts of China. There is also an airport shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off point nearby. All these are within 5-10 mins walk!
  If you are interested in clothing and leather businesses, this is your place! If you are coming for Canton Fair, they do provide the shuttle bus to Pazhou complex.
  I am not sure why people are complaining about the staff attitude. I did not remember anyone who was not smiling at me. Every staff greeted us very politely. We do speak Mandarin fluently so there wasn't any miscommunication. But I think the main reason is because of our personal attitude towards others!
  If you want people to be nice to you, be nice to them as well. If you want people to respect you, please respect others. Don't blame it all on the language barrier! If you are impatient and start losing your temper (and yelling) just because the staffs don't understand English very well, then the problem lies with YOU.
  Please be mindful, not everyone speaks English in China! If you want a hotel whose staffs can all speak good English, with a massive spread of breakfast selection, huge room, and treat you like a King/Queen that you are in your own country; then please do all these poor people a favor, go book yourself a room in international chain like Sheraton, Marriot, Hyatt, St. Regis, etc.
  Seriously people, you get what you pay for. I still can't understand why there are so many people who want to pay a 3* pricing and expecting for a 5* services. Be a better person!
  Tips:
  - The hotel restaurant serves very good Chinese food!
  - The small eateries just outside the hotel are decent
  - Take care of your belongings when walking around these area :)

  This hotel is very close to the Guangzhou Main Railway Station and is also connected to the airport through the airport shuttle bus, which is very convenient. There are a few restaurants around the place and convenience shops are abundant. The rooms are small but cosy and the bathroom was clean - in fact there is a health faucet in the bathroom which maybe of particular interest to Indians and middle easterners. There were some water seepage stains in the bedroom, though. They provide a shuttle bus to the Pazhou fair, if you are there around that time. Breakfast was very good and there was a lot to eat even for vegetarians. English speaking staff were a paucity and only 1 girl called Maggie was fluent in English and very helpful. Wifi signals were very strong as they have provided an access point for each room.
