  My customer booked me in this hotel for one night only...thank God....room was fine,no complaints but everything else is typical Chinese.....No decent breakfast for foreigners.No English spoken.....huge place, looks like a factory

  Gar nicht mal so ungünstig gelegen bietet das Hotel geräumige aber alte Zimmer mit mittelmäßiger Ausstattung. Breitband Internet auf dem Zimmer wird durch eigene Subrouter gewährleistet, in die sich auch einzeln (SSID = Zimmer) eingeloggt werden muss. Wer auf brettharte Betten steht ist hier richtig, allerdings immerhin für diesen Standard des unteren Mittelmasses halbwegs sauber wenn man nicht so genau hinschaut. Großes Manko ist die Tatsache, dass keine Nichtraucherzimmer angeboten werden. Daher stinkt es in jedem Zimmer massiv nach kaltem Zigarettenrauch. Das Frühstück ist für Europäer mit entsprechendem Anspruch ungenießbar, der Kaffee meist kalt. Trotz Bademantel und Badeschuhen konnte man gerade keine funktionierende Spa/Sauna anbieten. Amenities im Bade stammen aus den 50ern. Aus meiner Sicht gibt es für den Preis weit bessere Hotels, die allerdings möglicherweise auch etwas schlechter gelegen sind, je nachdem was man will. Ich empfehle das Hotel nicht.

  I sayed at the hotel during the Canton Fair. The hotel is great, it's locationa is perfect for business trip. Most of all I liked the personnel, they all were very friendly, especially at the reception. I would like to stay here again next time.

  Our customer in Guangzhou booked for us a few rooms in this hotel as it is near to the exhibition center. We had 2 executive rooms at 7th floor and 2 standard rooms at 5th floor. The executive room is newly renovated and is clean,quite spacious and bathroom is acceptable. Downside though is you can hear the loud traffic near the expressway and the loud speaker from the next door police station. As for the std room, it's kind of dark, slightly run-down especially the bathroom which is old and dimly lit. We tried the dim-sum breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Well, the food for lunch and dinner was quite alright (oily though) except for breakfast is a disappointment.
  I would recommend to walk out of the hotel about 10-15mins where they have a few chinese restaurants. Must try the Mao restaurant which serves both spicy and non-spicy chinese food. We ordered about 10 dishes including beers and we paid about RMB485 for 8 pax which we find cheap and good. Maybe the next time we would like to try the opposite Grand Royal Hotel which looks better and they have shuttle bus to the airport where you pay just RMB23 per pax.

  Beware. This hotel used to be 3 star but has recently been upgraded to 4 star. Their in room hotel brochure still states it is a 3 star and that is just about what you should expect. I stayed there in April 2007 during canton fair. The hotel is not as good as most 3 star hotels I have stayed in. Be extra careful about the room they give you--not all rooms have been upgraded to 4 star standard. Their standard room has very old furniture. No safe. No refrigerator. The bathroom tap wasn't working properly and the bathroom fittings were falling apart.
  In their defence I have to say their service is good and the staff is friendly. But I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...there are better hotels available for the same price.
