• Good rooms worth the price but english a huge problem

  Room was extremely huge I was amazed for the price payed.
  The hotell was on the main road hence no problem in communicating.
  But yes ENGLISH was very big problem no one in the staff could communicate in english even though they were really nice and helpful.
  The wifi and the computer was really sad.
  BUT REALLY GOOD ROOM AT A VERY GOOD PRICE

  Very convenient location, friendly staff however communicating in the English language was a bit of a problem. Rooms were big & clean. Lots of restaurants closeby. Will return in 2016. Breakfast was good but the selection could be better.

  I spent 2 nights here during the Canton Fair and was very pleased with my choice. Excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, with good English skills. The hotel itself is clearly not new, but the rooms were clean and spacious, and everything worked.
  I do not sleep well in noisy environments, but I slept well here. Traffic noise from the busy street below was not intrusive (8th floor) and even the pile driving on the construction site over the road was very muted. Also did not hear a sound from the hallway or neighbouring rooms during my stay. Overall much quieter than some much more expensive hotels I have used in some western developed countries.
  I particularly liked the location, being in a suburban area only a few kms from the Fair. Walking the streets day or night provided a good feel for how the local people live, and the choice of local restaurants within a few hundred meters was very wide, from budget to expensive. I found restaurant staff willing to assist with ordering even though they did not speak English, and I had some great meals.
  Breakfast and shuttle bus included in the tariff was a bonus. I would stay here again.

  It is located just opposite side of the River for going to Canton Fair ground. Nice Rooms, peaceful Hotel property. Co-operative staff. Restaurant food is good. Massage centre and Spa at 5th Floor is awesome.

  I was pleasantly surprised..... once I got my room. My taxi couldn't find it even though I had the address in Chinese for him. The google map shows it on the wrong side of Huangpu Avenue. I found it by getting out of the taxi and asking at a hotel close to the google map location..... I booked it for location and price. Little English at the check in desk and they did not understand my reservation at first.(booked through hotels.com just 1 day earlier).. asked a couple times if I have paid. The 4 girls and 2 guys were quite amiable though. I have learned what to expect here in China, so I had no problem with the confusion. It was 8 degrees in Guangzhou and the heating did not really work. It didn't get cool/cold in the room but I had the heat cranked to 30 and that didn't happen. The "kettle" didn't work, I didn't complain (language)... left a note on it (the kettle) in the best Chinese I could muster. (垃圾 - garbage). I got a King size comfortable bed and bedding. Satellite (English) TV, a BATHTUB, and a "cute" western toilet (it was at best a foot, 12" high.)..had to pull the table out to plug in my laptop and cord..renovated at some point and clean and comfortable. Had a good meal and a couple beer in the neighborhood, not in the hotel. Decent 3 star, a little over priced ($61 should be $50). From my 12th floor window on the back of the hotel, I could see a swimming pool that was in disrepair.(it was December).
