  This hotel claims four stars, maybe that was correct when it opened but not any more.
  The hotel is located on the lower floors of an office building and is not too easy to locate but the staff were pleasant and spoke some English.
  The lifts to the rooms can be a problem as there are 3 lifts serving all the offices on 28 floors so at times the wait is long.
  The room was large with a seating area separate from the sleeping area but the carpet was stained and the furniture tatty. Fortunately the bedding and towels were clean and in good condition. The bathroom was in a very poor state of decoration and the water was never hot.
  Breakfast was served at the Bistro 2 doors away that was a little small but very good.
  On the whole you can find better places at lower prices.

  The room was full of the cigarette smell. We did not have a choice to pick a non- smoking room and the room service did not use any air freshener. We had to open the window to air out the room. The toilet was clogged constantly. We called the plumbing service many times. This hotel has a pool but was used for swimming classes for outside people. We were traveling with children but they displayed condoms at the rack right on the night stand so guests can use them and paid as they checked out. I have to hide those boxes of condoms under the bed so I did not have to do any explanation to my children of what they were.

  This hotel is odd, but in a nice way ! It is situated a short taxi ride from Guangzhou East train station, along a busy road. The entrance is strange, as it just seems to be like an entrance into a shop. There is nothing in this hotel except a reception desk and the bedrooms. The restaurant is 3 doors down the road, and not actually owned by the hotel. Rooms are basic but clean, but the towels have seen better days. Staff are friendly but speak very little English. The restaurant serves surprisingly good French style food at very reasonable prices (about € 8 for an excellent steak). This hotel won't win any prizes, but on a recent trip I stayed in three 4* international brand hotels, and the Jianghe, but the one that sticks in my mind is definitely the Jianghe. Think of it as "taking the road less travelled", don't look for the usual frills, and enjoy it as an experience. I would return, so it can't be a bad recommendation.

  Went to the hotel with 2 friends, we had reserved a 3 people room via agoda.com for two days.
  We handed the reservation to the staff who refused (!) to give us our room and instead gave us 3 double rooms, without extra charge at first.
  The next day, they call us and ask that we pay for the extra rooms or they will keep our deposit (deposit = 1800 RMB = 215 €).
  After a long negotiaton, we ended up paying 106.32 + 41.43 extra (344 RMB) = 147.75 € for 3 rooms we DID not want, only for one night.
  Please note :
  The staff speaks ONLY chinese, you need someone to translate.
  The hotel is filthy, with stains and mold everywhere. (see attached pics)
  The beds are basically planks, but i think it's cultural.
  The lifts are always extremely busy, because they are for the whole building
  Internet does not work at all.

  Me, my Wife and another 2 couples stayed here for 2 nights for the Canton Fair. At first, this hotel is hard to find and many taxi drivers and even police could not find this hotel if asked. If you try to see maps of Guangzhou, China - this hotel is even not in the map although it is located in a major street. Do not be decieve of the map that the hotel's website gives, it does not depicts the true location of the hotel.
  The hotel is located within the Jianghe Office Building. Upon entry, you could sense that the hotel and the rooms are not clean and not well kept. There are only 2 elevators serving the hotel for the opther elevators serves the offices only. 1 elevator are newly refurbished but the other one is pretty old. Upon entry on the floor where your room is located, you could smell the old and dirty carpet. The rooms also smell the same. Sofas and chairs have old staines and the worst is that the bed is VERY VERY HARD!!!
  The bathroom is pretty small especially the shower which is a cubicle. Towels smell bad and are pretty old. Dont be deceive by the photos you see in their website - this is not what you see when you get there. Reservations will say that its a No Smoking room but in fact No Smoking is only applicable while in bed only (guests can smoke in the room - just not in bed). You could also sense that this hotel are used by local people for their sexual pleasures for there's a tray of condoms and other sexual stuff right beside your bed.
  The only plus factor in this hotel is - the rate is low, a decent free breakfast, and there's a C Store (local 7 Eleven) nearby. The staff tries very hard to give a good service eventhough they are understaff.
  If you hate your friends, convince them to stay in this hotel. I will never stay in this hotel again!!!
