• Just Lovely, Exactly What We Needed To Rest Between Flights

  I stayed in a twin room with my Mum for one night in order to break up a long trip (New York City to Guangzhou, then Guangzhou to Melbourne, Australia).
  We arrived in the afternoon and rested well. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh bedding and both of the beds were doubles, which is great.
  Staff were lovely and helpful at reception.
  In the morning, we headed downstairs for breakfast. The food was nice, no western food but that is fine. I am vegetarian and piled my plate with boiled cabbage, boiled eggs and sliced melon, which I very much enjoyed. My Mum loves the Chinese dumplings, she tried a few other things too and also enjoyed her breakfast.
  Something quite gross was the very casual man smoking at the entrance to breakfast. Him and his friend, in their jeans and t-shirts, taking tickets for breakfast while smoking cigarettes all over the food and patrons in the restaurants, packing the ashtrays with butts to add to the stench. DISGUSTING. I still can't quite believe it. He was lovely and helpful, but I just can't get over how awful it was being smoked around whilst eating... urgh.
  We had a late check-out because our flight didn't leave until the evening and we just wanted to rest. At check-in, we were quoted an expensive price to check-out late and so we declined. But on the day, we asked and someone else gave us a much better price. At check-in they wanted to charge us by the hour, I wonder if they perhaps made a mistake? Anyway, we very much appreciated the opportunity to further rest and took full advantage of it.
  I'd recommend this hotel for an airport stopover, because it's close enough to the airport and it's comfortable with lovely reception service.
  The Wi-Fi is free but very limited. We couldn't access Facebook, Google, etc. This wasn't the case at Sofitel (where we stayed on the way to NYC) but I guest it is China, after all.

  i have been going to China since 2005. this is the first time i have stayed in a place that is very clean and reasonably priced.
  the check in was very fast. ask for a VIP card which costs RMB198. with a VIP card, instead of paying 498 per day the discounted rate was 374 per night. Also ask for a room on 12th floor , they are bigger and nicer.
  Nice clean sheets and bathroom . the carpet was a bit dirty. they can improve on that area.
  generally the hotel is very clean in comparison to other hotels in the area. not very far from the chaotic Canaan market, tong tong area. about 12yuan by taxi

  but good value I guess if you want to stay cheaply in an interesting area of town. McDonalds breakfast can be a little trying after a while - that's where you go for it; Rooms ok, but bathroom can be dangerous as the water goes everywhere as the drain doesn't work, the internet will drive you to distraction, but all quite good fun.

  I stayed at one room in 10th floor on 16th October 2014. I booked the room by email and I explained that my arrival time to Guangzhou airport is 19:30 but when I arrive to hotel, reception staff told me "sorry, your booking is cancelled because of arriving after 17:00"!!! Finally, I could convince her for renting a room. I didn't find hotel staff friendly.
  Room was clean but every thing was old. Room didn't have minibar. There was just a couple of water bottle at room.
  Terrible breakfast was served in a very small place out of hotel. I found just one egg for eating and the other foods were terrible. I awaited for a few minutes for a seat. Some guests were eating breakfast standing.
  The only advantage of this hotel is its location.

  Vienna Hotel should only be just 2 stars. Complimentary breakfast was terrible and limited to a few bad dishes. The lunch meal served was even more disappointing. Front desk senior staff had attitude and even dictated to other hotel clients. Took line 3 metro to Tiyu Xilu subway station for an invigorating top time at TEEM Plaza. My ‘key’ ran out four (4) hours prior to check out time. Lastly, the “Do Not Disturb” sign was clearly hanging from door handle but domestic staff still entered and very much disturbed my personal belongings for no apparent reason. This experience although probably innocent still left me concerned.
