China with Yan
jayinfortbragg
Fort Bragg, California | Mar 27, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelInteresting neighborhood. Good location. Easy walk to Metro. Lots of outside street food and cafés. Lots of shops nearby. Hotel is OK. Friendly staff. A little noisy at night but not too bad. They have western toilets, shower and TV along with Hot Water kettle. I think the location was the best part. Felt very safe in the neighborhood walking alone at night. Did not see any other American Tourists in the three days I was here.

Reasonable rates
AZLee
Malaysia | Oct 15, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyThis is more a hotel for business people coming for the Jade Wholesale trade or possibly exhibition. Hardly any tourists in the hotel (at least, not when we were there). Taxi drivers generally don't know there is a hotel housed within the upper floors of this Complex, however they all know Pavilion C of Hualin International Exhibition Centre.
Short 7-10 min walk to subway, passing several good local eateries. Good beef noodles, and good western bakery.
Another short walk in another direction will bring you to Shangxiajiu. Along the main Kangwang Middle Road, there are also lots of eateries, fast food chains and couple of shopping malls. At night, stalls will sprout up along the wide pavements, selling mainly mobile phone accessories and street food. We got new protective screens and covers for mobiles at very cheap prices!
For those who (like me) don't like wet bathrooms, ask for a room with shower partition in the bathroom. My family took 3 rooms and we realised 1 of the rooms had a shower partition but the other 2 didn't which would mean water all over when the shower is turned on. So we asked to change rooms. Fortunately we managed to get the last 2 available rooms that had shower partition.
A pleasant surprise was having a "Towel Warmer" in the bathroom! It was sooo good to open it and take out nice warm towels to dry oneself with after a shower, especially as it was winter when we went.
Overall, not a great hotel but rooms were clean, reception was polite though not very knowledgeable, and rates were reasonable (less than CNY400 per nite). Breakfast was nothing to shout about. Wifi only in the lobby. -
Nice location but don't have high expectation
michieko
Sri Kembangan, Malaysia | Apr 26, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyThe location is good as we can go to many places within walking distance. It is very near to Jade wholesale area and it takes about 5-10 minutes walk to 'shang xia jie'. However, they were having some renovation ongoing when I was there, hence it is quite dusty and the entrance might not look as nice as you thought it might be. We have to take a lift to 7th floor and that's when it looks more like a hotel. The hotel has 4 area, A,B,C and D. Their internet connection is quite bad, most likely only usable in the lobby.

Convenient

Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia | Jan 4, 2026 | Trip type: BusinessLocation wise excellent. Located at the Jade wholesale area. Take the back streets for local food path to the subway.
Right opposite is where the local market is, and good local food in there too. You need to find the entrance, it's not so easily seen.
Turn right, walk about 200 metres and you hit the famous pedestrian street.
No wifi in rooms, you have to go to the lobby.
Tip: For cheap rooms, there is no window. If you request a room with a window, the price shoots up. For superstitious travellers who do not like rooms with no windows, best to avoid the cheap rooms. -
Business cum holiday
cyanazureblue
cyanazureblue | Jun 9, 2025We booked this hotel because my friend finds this hotel staff friendly & helpful. It was our first time visiting China, Guangzhou, wow am I shocked.
Upon checked in, they have messed up our booking with twin room. Our safe gave us problems everyday our Aircon also gave us problems for 2 days and the most yucky thing was their breakfasts. I had to eat nothing else but hard boiled egg that is tasteless and most days the noodles they served has a funny smell, in my opinion, it was horrible breakfasts. Nothing interesting about this hotel but you can get nice pearl earrings there if you like stuffs like these. Do not stay here if you are coming here for holiday, the taxi drivers don't even know this hotel!
