• Convenient Location But the Room a little dated!

  Lobby could be very crowded at certain specific seasons, and could be quite messy. However, the hotel is strategically located, with nearby Pearl River, a Park, and of course the Beijing Lu. One of the The RED sightseeing bus stops is just opposite the hotel, and you could just hop in (and pay) if you have limited time in Guangzhou. Overall a convenient hotel.

• Convenient location, spacious room, but long queue for check-in

  We have booked one standard king room and one standard twin room and stayed 2 nights here. The location is good, just 3 mins walk to Beijing road, and 10 mins to subway station. As most of the time we took taxi, its fine for us.
  
  We reached there at 2:00pm, and it took us almost an hour to queue for check-in as there was only 3-4 staffs at the front desk. And it took another hour to change one of the rooms. The staff is friendly, but the efficiency still have room to improve. My standard twin room have been upgraded to deluxe twin room (15th floor), the room is spacious and the view is good. However, the standard king room (17th floor) is very small, very dim, old, and located at the end of the aisle. We asked the staff if they could change a room with better lighting. And they have upgraded the room to deluxe king room (25th floor). Although the price of deluxe twin and deluxe king are same, but the space of deluxe king is only half of the deluxe twin. Besides, the lighting is still not enough, and the room is also located at the end of aisle. I'm not sure if all the king rooms are same, but i would suggest to book a twin room rather than a king room if the prices are same.
  
  Our deluxe twin room on 15th floor is quiet, comfortable and spacious. There are some old stains on the carpet and chairs, but the beds are clean. The air-con seems cannot adjust the temperature, but only choose to turn on/off the wind. Kettle, mini bar and hair dryer are provided. Lighting is ok.
  
  The bathroom is ok. Hand shower is available. Towels are clean. The quality of the shampoo and body wash are average.
  
  We have check-out in the morning, and it was smooth and fast not like when we check-in. After we have check-out, we have left our luggage in the hotel and went out. We have also put our laptop at their safe box. The hotel gave me a small card and a key and said i must the same person to take back my stuff. When we would like to taking back our stuff later, my sister cannot take it back as wrong signature, so that my sister finally have to wait me to take the luggage and laptop. I think they are very correct, and the business traveler can trust their safekeeping services. As sometimes we just don't want to take our laptop to go everywhere just because we don't know if its safe to left it in the hotel.
  
  Finally, Wifi is free and the speed is good!

  Spent 2 nights here last month for a business trip & the hotel truly didn't disappoint. The hotel is centrally located around Beijing road, which is like one of the main district in Guangzhou that is filled with shops, foods & other attractions. It is quite close as well to the pearl river, so you can just walk there if you're up for it. The hotel is not too old nor new, but it is still well maintained to a certain extent. The rooms are very spacious, they even have a small guest lounge with sofas. We stayed on the upper most floor so the view is good, you can see most Beijing road area from up there. Would definitely return here for my next business trip

  During my last 4 visits to Guangzhou i stayed in the hotel. I love the location, its 2 min away from one of the busiest streets in the city: Beijing Lu, a street full of restaurants, retail stores...
  The service and the rooms are average, they used to be way better, but by each year they are getting worst. The breakfast buffet is amazing and has a wide variety to choose from.
  Expect the Hotel to be crowded, specially during the Canton Fair, which happens twice per year: April and November.

  Hotel is centrally located near historical tourist attractions as well as the Pedestrian shopping area. I had a room on the 13th floor view of the city. Room was very clean with a King size bed. Room is a bit dated but quite comfortable. Wifi does cut out from to time - before coming to China you may want to get VPN as China blocks most websites. The swimming pool is on the 6th floor and has a very large deck, however,the hotel only has 4 lawn chairs on the deck- I guess they don't want people to stay very long around the pool. The pool is quite big and good for lap swimming. The breakfast in the morning is actually very good with a lot of selections for all tastes well worth the 50yuan. My stay was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Recommend the hotel
