  I had been to guangzhou for Canton Fair in The Month Of October 2014 ,
  Hotel is very Good and Rooms are neat and clean !!!
  the Reception staff were so helpful and they even had English Translator available 24Hrs , which helped us a lot because Not many know English and we dint know chinese ,
  and food Was Also problem ,
  we being from india found little bit problem for Food ,
  There is no Indian Hotel nearby ,
  Otherwise J Hotel is a very Good business Hotel !!!

  Stayed here during 15-21 March 2015 on a business trip, the room was specious; unfortunately, the room functioning was really terrible. Unstable hot water, only Chinese Channels, AC was difficult to adjust. Breakfast was just OK, but seat was very limited. The worst was no one can speak English. Anyway location was good very easy to walk to anything from train to metro to street vendor to restaurant.

  Stayed on the 26th floor and the room was actually very decent - refurbished to a good standard and very clean in terms of some hotels I have stayed in China.
  As the Canton Fair is currently on, hotel prices have been hiked up, this around 3 times the normal cost. I also wanted to stay near the East Railway Station (trains to and from Hong Kong) hence I opted for this hotel.
  Summary-
  Cons:
  - Location wise, this is not particularly close to the East Railway Station (there is a short cut which takes about 10mins but you have to walk through a housing compound, cross a road and through a side street) - Google Maps does not work for this hotel. This is the main reason I would not come back as reading other reviews getting here seems like a nightmare (especially if you do not know Chinese).
  - Shower: there was hot water but this would turn cold so had to kept adjusting the water.
  - No facilities - there is no swimming pool, gym etc - but I knew this already so not a real gripe
  - Breakfast - no comment as although this was included as part of the deal, I didn't try it
  - Wifi - not sure if this worked or not, they did not supply a password (and I forgot to ask - I only stayed a night so wasn't an issue) this being said, wifi in hotels in China is usually fine.
  Pros:
  - Reception - I speak Cantonese and Mandarin so not an issue, staff are friendly.
  - Rooms are large and clean (stayed on a high floor so no issue with the noise of trains - the track runs right next to the hotel)

  I would never recommed this hotel for tourist or visiting Guangzhou. The price is fair enough, but probaly, if there is no Trade Fair event in the city, you can find hundreds of better options. The location is not bad, but the nearest metro station is too far away for walking... worst if you are carrying luggage. As the hotel is in compound, it´s not easy to get a taxi, so you have to tell the receptionist that you need one (inmediatly they ask you where do you wnat to go... and unless you tell them you are going to the airport, it will take you ages to get it). There is no swimmingpool or gym.
  If you are coming for the Canton fair, better book it in advance, as they have "very good rooms" (in the top floors) and "not very good rooms" (lower floors). If you are not fast enough you will be living in the second group and lower floor is not what you want, as there is trains passing by, down your window, the whole entire day.
  Breakfast with low quality Chinese and Western food. It is a competition to get an empty seat. It´s a building with over 20 floors, but only 2 small elevators, what makes rush hours a really nightmare. I was living in 7th floor and for 3 days I had to come or go downstairs several times by foot, as I did not to wait for many time.
  It´s convenient to the Canton Fair because there is free shuttle bus to the place.
  I asked for an iron table and they brought me one that had the cover damaged. I told to the staff and they say it´s OK, but the next day I recieved a note in my room that was requesting me the payment of 8 USD. I had to claim to the managment that I did not do it and they apoligized. I paid 125 USD per night, for a room that did not worth that much.
