Appears to be geared towards the locals and Chinese tourists. Clean but aged rooms and bathrooms, in need of a face lift. Beds were of average sleep quality but not the most comfortable. Check in was complicated, finding the reservation was challenging for the front desk, took some time. Breakfast was very good and plenty of selection. In the newer part of Guangzhou, there are better US and European based hotel properties to consider albeit probably a lot more expensive.

Stayed here 6 nights when the Canton Fair was on, not the best time to stay in Guangzhou as all prices are inflated.
It is a tough one to score this hotel, the first room we were given was tired and not as well cleaned as it may have been and that night the noise from the road was bad so the next day we asked to be moved, this was done quickly and with grace, the second room was cleaner and situated around the back, much quieter and better view on the hills behind but decor still a little tired.
What made up for the decor was the service that could not be faulted, everything we wanted was done quickly and with a smile.
Breakfast was the usual odd mix of quasi Western food and Chinese food, not cheap but plentiful

I have stayed here 8 times over 6 years and it's been consistently very good.
Food is good. Beds are very comfortable and roomy.
For a china 4 star it's great value.
Staff speak good English.
Breakies are good. Freshly cooked eggs. Decent coffee machine.
I'll be back again without a doubt.

Arrived with a group on business to warm welcome. Breakfast choice good but limited western choice, lifts are quick and there are cheap eating places just at side of hotel. Ask for higher floor for quieter sleep. £3 taxi to centre, 15 mins.
GM has spend time to print her pictures and show off, but NO ROOM SERVICE MENU!!

This hotel is supposed to be a 4 star standard Hotel!! But Alas!, Service deserves - 4 stars!!
Right from the check in, this hotel disappoints, I don`t know about the other staff, but the one who checked us in doesn't show any warmth in her behavior, rather, it was really a rude welcome!
worst experience about room service!!:: at around 10 pm in the night after a heck of a day, got back and pressed the room service button on the telephone, though the bell was ringing at other end, none picked the phone up!
called up assistant manager, he directed me to dial 7, obliged and dialed. A female voice said muttered something in local language and kept me on hold for next 5~6 mins, I held the line patiently, once the music finished, i said " hello" again.. much to my surprise, the lady banged the phone!!!
called asst manager again, he came to the room and said NO ROOM SERVICE!!!!!!!, the time was 10.28 PM!!! what more should I say???
