• Good comfortable hotel but nothing to do within walking distance outside

  2 rooms booked for a 10 night business stay at the Sheraton.
  
  On the whole, this is a comfortable hotel with good service and facilities. Breakfast is substantial with a good variety of Western and Asian food choices. Reception staff speak English but, as with many hotels in the area, English is not well spoken elsewhere.
  
  The hotel location is somewhat isolated and there is a lot of construction going on next to the river bank and across from the hotel towards the shopping mall. Noise is not obtrusive but on one night, around 4 am, there was noise from the tidy up after the hotel’s own event when two trucks were loaded with a lot of metal items similar to racks and tables by scraping them up a metal ramp. I did point this out to reception staff as did many other guests and I received an apology but I got the impression that it just so happens; it's normal.
  
  The swimming pool was out of action for 2 days due to maintenance. There is a Japanese restaurant (“Miyabi”) at the hotel and we each received a RMB100 discount voucher for food there.
  
  The rooms are well furnished but there is no coffee machine and really Sheraton should provide one (as they do an ironing board, slippers, gowns, water and a plethora of bathroom stuff).
  
  My room on the 14th floor had a small balcony which was nice to stand on in the early morning to get some fresh air. The room had a thermostat that reset itself during the day and night so I never managed to set a comfortable temperature in the room; either too hot or too cold. The daily room service was very good but I did notice some unattractive stains on the furniture which, I guess, were impossible to remove with normal cleaning.
  
  For the room rate offered it was a very good stay. But my early impression was dented on check-in when I was asked to pay a room deposit fee of RMD 20,000 (yes, approximately GBP 2,500) which I refused and had to negotiate. Instead I paid for the rooms 5 days in advance, then another 5 days in advance as a second instalment. This way of paying was a "first" for me and next time I will make certain what is required at the time of booking. I request the hotel re-looks at this because it will influence my decision to stay again at the Sheraton.

  Stayed for just one night during a multi-city China work trip & was very impressed with the Sheraton Shunde, particularly as the room rate was such good value.
  On arrival the lobby is impressive, with no expense spared. Check in was quick & easy and was in my room within around 10mins.
  The rooms are huge with jacuzzi baths & a separate shower - plus a great view if you can get a room high up.
  
  Breakfast was ok, but not the best I had in China - good choice of food but pretty average in taste.

• Nice but location is problem

  The hotel is quite nice.
  Rooms, bed, breakfast, room service and gym was satisfiying.
  The problem is there nothing near to go around the hotel. You need car to reach any close shopping area.
  There is also huge construction near the hotel. Day time and early in the morning it starts working which means noisy!
  I am not sure for nexttime.

  I must agree with these fellow travelers. we stayed for 5 nights. This is def one of the best Sheraton’s! Great spg recognition! Nice river view. Rooms and amenities are brand new. The Chinese restaurant is superb. The location is great if you are on a food searching vacation! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
  Will definitely come back again.
