Great hotel, modern and new very conveniently located next to shopping centre with grocery store, the elevators are a little slow the executive lounge breakfast is extensive and fresh unfortunately the evening canapés and drinks are very very limited, staff are friendly and mostly speak English

This is a typical 5 stars Chinese hotel - relatively big rooms with high ceilings, lots of marble etc.
The service is good in general, but the staff who doesn't work at the reception basically doesn't speak English. My colleague was not able to order food through in-room service on the 1st attempt.

Another disappointment - the staff does not understand the "Don't disturb" signs - I kept it on the door handle the whole day and after 3pm - there were 3 rings and 3 loud knocks on the door, which sounded like a police raid. I thought there was a fire and ran to the door in my underwear. 3-manager looking people were behind the door. "Do you want your room to be cleaned" they've asked? "No, thank you. That's what's the sign was for on the door".

On the positive side: clean rooms, comfy bed, LAN internet, lots of shopping around the hotel along with some restaurants within a walking distance.

I stayed 1 night at this hotel ( De luxe room ) and will make sure to go there for my entire stay in Houjie next trip to China . The price & the room quality surpassed there competitor close by .

Definitely would recommend this hotel

Positives:

- great location
- spacious rooms
- all areas of the hotel, including the rooms, are clean, tidy and well maintained
- big and comfy bed
- fast internet, LAN cable
- the AC is set away from the bed, so it doesn't bother
- the room was pretty quiet compared to a bunch of other hotels in Asia, so the sleep was good
- !! awesome chief at the kitchen. A salmon steak was prepared perfectly - not dry and not raw, just right... Other western dishes were delicious too

Negatives:
- They lost my order for the breakfast, that had been placed in advance. Had 2 calls prior to going to sleep to discuss the details of the ordered dishes and the delivery time, and then when the food didn't show up in the morning - called the duty manager to find that they didn't have this order on file. Prepared a new breakfast 30 mins after the call. It tasted good..

- The beverages are pretty expensive, compared to food. CAD $8 for a cup of coffee :)

Regardless of the negatives, this is a great hotel and will be #1 on my list for the Houjie / Dongguan area

The twin room is just so big and so is the bathroom. Both the pillow and the bed ate very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and we all enjoy the stay very much!

About the buffet dinner on ground floor, the choice is ok with unlimited supply of Carlsberg beer! However, the seafood is disappointed as it's not so fresh! Buffet breakfast is not disappointed and there's freshly brewed coffee.

There're many local shops around the hotel but we did not buy anything as the products are not very cheap while they are not attractive.

Swimming pool and gmn room are good as well. Overall, it's a nice hotel and I recommend.
