  For the price one pay, this is a decent hotel which used to be the Grand Mercure but curiously renamed as Cinese (minus the H) Hotel.
  
  The lobby is very grand and spacious in typical Chinese style, but if you do not speak Mandarin then checking in may be a challenge. The front office staff are good looking and friendly to deal with.
  
  The room is really nice and spacious too, the bathroom is separated by a glass wall with wooden curtains, interesting choice.
  
  Breakfast was serve at the 2nd floor restaurant, food variety is decent and taste is average, but then this is my personal taste.
  
  There is a swimming pool and a spa too, but again, you need to speak Mandarin to be understood to use the facility.
  
  Overall a decent stay for business trip.

  Stayed here for a local expo and had the pleasure of being looked after by the team here at Grand Mercure. Everyone was friendly and efficient. The facilities were good. Our only improvement would be the toilet in the room did not flush very well.

• Commonly comfortable to stay...

  Rooms are quiet, clean and well equiped. Internet speed is too low, when you connect over wi-fi, it is not possible to open some web pages even google, but connect with ethernet cable, it's working...
  Another problem is communication if you don't know Chinse. A bit difficult to find a person can speak and understand English.
  Breakfast commonly, Chinese style a bit far from western kitchen. Same issue for dinner.
  Arround 1 km far away the nearest subway station, line 2. So, it's possible to reach Dongchen area for shopping by subway.

• DECENT ACCOR HOTEL SPOILED BY STAFF WITH LIMITED ENGLISH

  Spend 2 nights in South China and encountered usual problem: staff either do not speak or limited ability in English. The hotel is giving cash coupons for promotion and can be use for F&B which we did but the waitress declined our coupons told us to settle the account when we check out. However, the reception people has other ideas and told us coupons must be presented when we consumed F&B and not when we check out! Anyway, we luckily have evidence to show we were correct in our version of events and after 30 minutes of delay; everything was settled in our satisfaction....
