Great location, close to the train at Kaifaqu Station, close to Five Colour City, on the Jinma Lu, the main street of Kaifaqu, Dalian, close to iMall, Mykall, Anshen (the big malls) and the new Wanda mall with the iMax. Great spa, downstairs. Beautiful lobby, rooms, decor everywhere.

This is a reasonable hotel, for a non-international chain. The reception is very efficient, if you manage to be on the 4th floor it's better. The rooms vary in size, a double is reasonably comfortable. Beds are comfy, the bathroom is big and well stocked with extra's. The air-con is nice and quiet. Buffet breakfast is good with plenty of choice, as is the buffet in the evening. The pool and gym are well maintained and clean. The lounge bar is a good place to relax in the evening, a good singer and Lisa the manager is charming.

Very positive. Very good accommodation, silence,comfort,... A lot of different things in the breakfast buffet and the possibility a having a dinner with good Chinese and western products. The swimming pool and the gym are nice too.

I find it difficult to get a solid picture and provide a good conclusion of this hotel. During my 2n stay, the room was OK (perhaps a bit small?), I appreciated the lunch and breakfast, but in the end I have my doubts. These doubts I think mainly come from things such as smoke being omnipresent (my non-smoking room was OK though but reception area, bar, etc. not, but this is China), housekeeping not honoring do-not-disturb on one occasion, slow check-out and other small things. It is in a way like a copy of a high-end hotel where not everything has been mastered yet, which ends up in both ups and downs - hence the review score being a three.
Reasonable, Shame about the breakfast

This is a reasonable choice in Dalian I suppose. The room design is a bit strange - everything so golden and shiny :) even the room number is put in a sparkling, red setting. Wall papers, curtains, everything is golden - strange taste indeed.
To be quite honest, the room is very clean so no worries there. Bed is good and the bathroom is great, especially the state-of-the-art Korean toilet. The staff are ok and so is the hotel in general. Nothing eye-catching, nothing too good, nothing too bad. Average.
The area is basically outside Dalian in my opinion. An hour car ride to get to Dalian city center. So keep that in mind if you want to spend more time in the center of Dalian.
The main downside though is the breakfast. In one word, terrible indeed. No variation and everything is of absolute low quality. Many of the choices you see on the table belong to previous days I can say; eggs are cold, bread stale and vegetables in bad condition. I was actually happy when I arrived for breakfast at 9:50 and the lady told me the breakfast time is over. Went back to my room and had a cup of green tea. Better indeed.
