  The rooms are confortable and it is located close to many western restaurants as well as good Chinese ones. You can go by 20 min walking (suggestion for summer days) to Victory Plaza and it is close to Olimpic Square (electronics deals).

  rooms are basic but comfortable with a few extras that make a longer stay a bit more comfortable.
  the facilities were clean and modern the small kitchen area and washing machine were handy for an extended stay,
  the staff were polite but not great at communication (in english) only difficultty during a 2 week stay were the lifts which were very tempremental
  ask for a room on the lower floors as a few times we had to walk down,
  pretty central locatiion with a range of bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk

  The first issue we found before even checking in was the limited parking. The front of the hotel has a small place that can fit maybe 6 cars. and there were about 12 cars there. We often got parked in or couldn't park at all...
  About the hotel and staff. The staff barely speak English and were a little rude. The rooms were decent. They looked nice and had kitchenettes which was nice. The housekeeping will even wash the dishes for you :)
  Each room comes with a washing machine so you can take care of your laundry without asking the housekeeping to do it (most hotels will charge you per article of clothing).
  If you just want a convenient place to stay in downtown its a nice place. If you are expecting luxury or some kind of professionalism, this isn't the place.
  If you drive, I would just avoid this place all together.

  just what a family needs on vacation, large room, two beds, a small kitchen. everything is well taking care of, the kitchen has what you need for small family meals. enough space for children to play around

  The hotel is located in the Harbour Plaza itself, there is a Watson's on the first floor! It was a regular hotel-styled room but with a few really nice perks. There was a washing machine, a bidet, large refrigerator, electric plate/stove and even some plates/bowls/cutlery. So if you were planning on staying in Dalian for a few days and wanted to save on laundry bills... this is the place.
  The room was clean and bright, not the best view from the window mind you, but when you live in China, that is not really an issue. Usually when we ask for a king sized bed, we have to pay a lot more for the room. We paid less for the king sized bed. When we got off the elevator I was worried that the scent of cigarettes would be in the room. I was surprised. It was a smoking room, but we couldn't detect any hint of smoke in the room at all.
  I'd certainly stay here again over the Furama and Ramada as this hotel was much cheaper and there was more to offer.
  My biggest complaint for this hotel was the TVs. They had huge flat screen TV's in the rooms, but there was no place to put a USB drive. My secondary complaint was the lack of wifi in the room. I do feel that in this day and age, there should be wifi in all hotels. We had a wifi thingie to hook up to the computer so that was not a big issue but we did find it inconvenient.
  I would certainly recommend this hotel to others and to those that are planning on visiting Dalian for a prolonged period of time.
