  Hotel is well located in the heart of city, close to shops, restaurants, and buses that will go anywhere in the city. The shopping mall, underground shops etc. are just opposite to this hotel. Though the hotel looks outdated from outside, it’s fine from the inner side. Very clean & comfortable with all amenities . The staff doesn't speak good English but are happy to listen to your broken Chinese or, find the English speaking person for communication with you. I stayed there on two occasions for our official work with M/s DHI-DCW, Dalian.
  One floor of this 38 storey hotel is allocated to India, where the Lobby is decorated in Indian style & an Indian Restaurant is also attached to it. The best time I had in the hotel was in the restaurant, thanks to its staff.

• Tired but clean and safe family owned hotel in Dalian city centre

  Is it the family owner that is tired or the hotel or both? This is a property that features on top of the building what was really fashionable in the 80's: a revolving restaurant, and it is not a revolting one. The best time I had in the hotel was in the restaurant, thanks to its staff. With their advise, they just made my steam-boat (Chinese fondue) experience unforgettable. The hotel is very central, you will find everything you are looking for around (shopping, night market, tram stop, railway station). The room and bathroom are large, clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful despite the language barrier. But no WiFi in the room. It is strange when you see the mountain of routers sold everywhere for almost nothing. The fact that the hotel can not be easily found on Western booking sites is an indication that it might be time for the owners to invest a bit. Joining an international chain of hotels that would be so interested in the location of this hotel is another option, but that would be a pity to loose the Chinese touch of this hotel.

  Although this is an old hotel, but all the amenities are there. There is also a street full of seafood restaurant and fruit stall just opposite this hotel. There are also shopping centre and underground shopping all within 2-3 mins walk from this hotel. The staff of the hotel speaks good English and of international standard.

  Hotel is well located in the city centre, close to shops, restaurants, and buses that will go anywhere in the city. The hotel itself looks dated on the outside, but is fine on the inside. The staff don't all speak English but are happy to listen to your broken Chinese or find the English speaking staff member. I stayed on the 23rd floor in a room that I got a special rate on via the internet. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The musk pink carpet and wallpaper aren't to everyone's tastes but it was clean and housekeeping were very good. The hotel was generally very quiet inside - not too much noise from neighbours. However, while the buses were running (generally before 9pm) you could sometimes hear the sound of car horns outside on the busy road. It may pay to get a room on the opposite side to the road.
  The rooms did not have wifi, instead you need to connect your computer via LAN cable. Also, the hotel is relatively smoke free compared to other Chinese hotels that I have stayed at.

  Well the hotel is fine, i mean good location, near everything, shopping malls around.
  Just its a bit old, new some new furniture, new painting, new carpet.
  Maybe there better option in town for the same price. need to check it.
