Nice location and good service

Santa Cruz, United States | Oct 6, 2025There are many places to walk around and do sightseeing (historical buildings from the time of Japanese occupation) as well as shop and eat. The staff at the hotel were courteous and helpful. The room was spacious, but felt a bit old. But in general, it's very good for the price if you compare it with simiiar hotels in major cities in US and England, etc.

Everything is excellent, from check in to room comfortability to breakfast. Concierge is very helpful and efficiently to help to get taxi. This beats a lot of luxury hotels in China.

In spite of being a Shangila gold member we still had to wait a little bit for check-in. Other than that everything was really good. Location is perfect. Breakfast buffet is good with lots of options. Special shout out to the staff in the restaurant! They are really nice and helpful.

The five-star Shangri-La Hotel (Xianggelila Dajiudian) is conveniently located in downtown Dalian, close to major shopping centers and department stores and a short drive from the popular South Beach area.
The hotel's 550 rooms all feature IDD telephones, voice mail, satellite TVs, mini-bars, in-room coffee and tea, electronic safes and internet access, as well as 24-hour room service.
