Me and other clients of mine were enjoyed the stay with this wonderful hotel .
We were arrived in the midnight but still received great services and greetings from them.
The room is so spacious and clean. Bed is so soft with comfortable bedding and pillows.
The dining room with lots of choices of breakfast . Great location for sightseeing or business .

The Kempinski is a great hotel offering spacious rooms and a super buffet breakfast. I only stayed the one night but cannot fault what was on offer.
Conveniently located with good access (by car) to the old down town across one of the many bridges.

I know this hotel for quite a few years, but have not stayed there as a guest before. Now I have.
Hotel is an about 30 to 50 min drive away from the airport, depending on the traffic. It is easy to reach.
I stayed on the 32 floor, with full executive benefits.
Rooms are quite large, with walk in shower and a bathtub. Well designed, a bit dark, but enough lights make it bright.
Beds are reasonable soft and comfortable. Pillows are not good, but special ones can be provided, same goes for the baket.
Internet is not good, very slow and the connection often drops. VPN, Skype and Facetime work, but not too well. It is LAN or Wifi based.
TV has CNN, BBC and HBO, as well as Discovery
They have a buffet on the second floor. Food is very Chinese, but what to expect when 95 % of guests are Chinese. Actually very few western dishes. Orange Juice in the morning was below average, but still drinkable. For me the Orange Juice served is always an indication about the quality of the F&B department.
Room service was fast and friendly.
The Paulaner on the first floor serves the typical Paulaner food. It is good.
A/C worked well during the whole time.
The Excellent rating is also due to the very friendly staff, especially Ms. Jessie Zhang of the front office. Although the internet would only allow me to give a very good rating according to my standards.
One tip, even if you need to go somewhere else in Chongqing, the hotel is well connected to the rest of the city, as main roads lead to every area of Chongqing.
Poor service - Kempinski standards are luxury here

As a highest tier loyalty program guest, i asked for late check out and was assured that i got it. but hours before my due check out time the hotel called and asked me when i will leave coz their need to know. and my Do Not Disturb was on!!
i wanted to give my feedback to the general manager of the hotel but the lobby manager said she could not provide it even it's for customer feedback purpose. i wonder how much customer complaints have been covered up by their doing so. and i wonder how much the general manager knows about the staff performance and customers true feelings.
