  The hotel has been running for years. Last time I stayed here was more than 3 years ago, and it still felt the same. The room was quite big compare to the other urban Renaissance hotels. One thing that doesn't change a bit is still the limited selection of food and drinks in lounge. But there are a variety of restaurent in the neighborhood.

• Well managed hotel in Chengdu

  The hotel is well managed as the staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy. The location of the hotel is also good as it is just next to the business area. Not very good is the design in the room. The power point are badly located, besides the sofa is not comfortable at all.

  I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful staff (and with a good english level), the hotel is well located, with a couple of western restaurantes around. The room is clean, spacious and (i had) a good view on the room faced to the main avenue. The breakfast is amazing, with a lot of both western and asian options. Will stay again in the future trips to Chengdu!

  Overall, this was a very good property. It’s not necessarily in the most appealing of locations — although Chengdu itself isn’t much of a looker — but the facilities and rooms were very nice.
  
  First, the rooms: they are spacious, with a large bathroom including a soaking tub, stand-up shower, dual sinks with plenty of countertop space, and all the usual amenities. The king bed is comfortable and there are plenty of outlets that work with NA-configured plugs, no adapter necessary. The temperature control also works well and allows you to easily customize the room temperature for your enjoyment.
  
  The hotel WiFi is fast but victim to “the wall” so you’ll need a global data equipped phone to access Google and most social media.
  
  The breakfast had a wide array of choices including western-style selections. I have to assume the hotel is using water filters as I ate salad, fruit, etc. and had no stomach issues at ask.
  
  The gym was satisfactory and better than you can find in some Asian cities and hotels.
  
  Overall, I’d recommend the Renaissance if you’re ever in Chengdu on business (no idea to its suitably as a tourist hotel).
