  Visited Chengdu for The World Police and Fire Games and stayed at the HI Century City. Great hospitality, great food, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, live music in the bar, and most spoke or could get through some English. This hotel is located close to shopping and an extra fine green space at the end of the block. Make sur you get a NO SMOKING room.

  Good hotel great staff nothing too much trouble good menus available in the restaurants in hotel quality food rooms good and fully equipped. Hotel offered good money exchange rate no need for backs top rates better than UK. Only drawback was the hotel was situated some distance from the tourist attractions but these can be easily reached by taxis and relatively cheap to use

  Great spot & very convenient for access to the Convention Centre. Good restaurant facilities and lounge bar (serving good quality western & Chinese food). Helpful concierge & good English spoken by most staff. Front Office Manager Louis Liu was very helpful with rooms & organising a small evening function and Victor Li was a great concierge with excellent tips on the local area. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the nearby surrounding area & close to the subway.

• Fantastic stay!

  This was by far the nicest and biggest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. The service staff was incredibly friendly and thorough and provided top notch service from every staff member from room service, lobby staff and the cleaning maids. The breakfast here was incredible and huge as far as selection goes! They had live music multiple nights during our stay in the lobby lounge. The only reason this isnt getting 5 starts is because the air conditioning was managed by the hotel and our room like many of the other rooms in our group was just way to warm for us. The hotel did try and remedy this with a portable AC but unfortanely was still way to warm for us at night. If they could remedy the AC not sure if its a government thing or city thing or if the hotel has any control over it at all, it easily would have awarded them a 5 star review. I would still reccommend this place to all who visit the area :).

• Excellent Value

  I stayed here as part of the World Police and Fire Games. Rooms are spacious enough with helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast variety and other eating and drinking options (Noodle Bar) great value. Close to other restaurants and bars in the Century City area.
