  I've stayed here several times on business and am impressed with not only the service and facilities, but particularly the hospitality of the General manager who has always cordially greeted me and shown great care with any of the special needs that my colleagues and I have required. The prices are also reasonable.

  A dated hotel in need of renovations. Room smelt musty and the internet was very poor. Service was decent but their English was barely ok. Serving mostly a local cliental, so there is not much interaction with western guests. The bed and bathroom facilities were good.

  The Good :
  The Hotel is opposite the famous “Chun Xi Lu” shopping street and dining area and a 5-minute drive from Tianfu Square, the room was nice, Comfortable bed, the hotel is beautifully decorated.
  The bad :
  1- old fashioned facilities.
  2- Bedroom too old and bathroom to cheap.
  3- There is a problem with cleanliness, not a very clean hotel.
  4- The food was very bad, and the dining room was full of flies and insects, so disgusting, we didn't like the food and we couldn't continue eating there.

• Great location and stay despite a drab exterior

  At the time of my stay, they were building a new wework space right next to this hotel. I’m pretty sure that is a good indication that this location is central and convenient.
  
  I had a room that was one step above the standard - maybe the premium room - and I would recommend that. It looked like it had been updated fairly recently and everything was there for a comfortable stay. Desk and chair (call me old fashioned but I can’t get onboard with these newly designed hotel rooms that don’t have a desk and chair); minibar, and room temperature control that worked well (I sleep better in a cool-ish room at night).
  
  Breakfast was pretty “local” (meaning: it was mostly Chinese food, don’t expect waffles here) but there’s enough options to make a protein-rich meal (my own preference)... eggs, sausages, roasted meats (!!) and veggies.
  
  Walking distance to some shopping areas and the very clean, modern subway - which reminded me of the trains in Hong Kong.

• Good Chengdu CBD option

  This was definitely one of the nicest Crowne Plaza hotels that I have stayed in. It is centrally located in the CBD. The reception staff were friendly, the breakfast staff a little less so. The breakfast was great though. It has a well equipped gym which is just as well as going for a run is not really an option in the CBD of Chengdu. There was a nice looking swimming pool. The bar on the 25th floor was a great space to stop for a drink and to look at the city views, and there was even a snooker table. Everything in the room was nice and I got two great nights sleep there. The wifi was good and there was an iron and ironing board. My colleagues and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
