    We enjoyed our stay a lot, kids were so happy they refused to go out. We enjoyed comfortable beds, pool and fully equipped kitchen=dishes, cutlery, beer glasses, wine glasses, wine opener.. And also 7-11 shop open 24x7 just at basement.

    This gem in Chengdu is super good !
    Location is excellent , within walking distance to the shopping streets and next to a river .
    Room is large and very clean whilst bed / pillow are of good quality ( and a good night sleep !)
    Breakfast is inclusive and the menu is different everyday so we are happy to taste new items over the 2 day stay .
    Did not use the shuttle bus but it is available .
    Cost is relatively cheap when compared to other large cities in China .
    Take a look when you are planning your trip !!

    I want to begin my review by mentioning that there are signs up in the hotel encouraging residents to give a five-star TripAdvisor review, and then show evidence of said review to front desk to receive a free gift. I would suggest that the Somerset starts working on actually earning those stars through quality and service, rather than inducements.

    Our rooms were large, and with a stunning view of the city; however, they were incredibly tired and fairly grotty. The towels were the saddest, oldest rags I've seen in any hotel, and whenever I sat on the rug in the living room I got bug bites. I tried not to dwell on what might be biting me, or living in the rug.

    The windows, which fortunately only opened a couple of inches, no longer had locks, so they flapped open and closed in the wind.

    Considering the price and the size, it's the sort of place you could grit your teeth and survive in, but it's not remotely luxurious, and several aspects of our time there lest me feeling squeamish and uncomfortable. The staff are under no obligation to speak English, since we're in China, but their lack of language abilities meant that we didn't feel like we could try to complain, and the general state of the building overall gave me the impression there were no better rooms.

    Several years after an unfortunate experience in another Somerset property, we decide to give this brand a second chance; we won't be giving them a third.

    A home away from home fully finished apartment. Has everything you need at home right from cooking to washing etc. Near to 2 metro stations and has a nice restaurant. Quick bites and a 24hr 7Eleven is there at the ground floor.
