Chengdu, China | Sep 13, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesI didn't stay at the hotel but the restaurant on the first floor is a hidden gem of Chengdu. Been living here for 10 years and the food at the holiday inn is superb while the prices are quite reasonable. I usually get one of the lunch specials and occasionally the night time buffet. The two managers, Kevin Gu and Fiona Liu, are really helpful. I have a few food allergies and they are both accommodating to my dietary requirements. The service is also better than most places in Chengdu that cater to expatriates. I have included some photos of the lunch specials and the buffet. Buffet is cheaper than the other hotels like the Grand Hyatt and Shangri La, which are down tbe street.

Sep 13, 2025We’ve had a great experience of the holiday inn, from the welcome reception desk through to the friendliness of all the staff this is great value for money. If you have the budget I would recommend upgrading to the executive lounge as Stephanie and Jessica are amazing, not only did they help with personal recommendations on restaurants but they even gave us a little leaving gift. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I revisit Chengdu. Anthony & Kelly

Columbus, Ohio | Sep 6, 2025We stayed at the holiday inn for two nights on a tour. They would not accept my IMG number for points, but at least gave us a card for a free drink. Rooms were fine, nothing special but definitely acceptable. Restaurant was ok too.
